Seeing people from highschool is always awkward for me. "Oh hey! I've been relatively unsuccessful at life the past few years and still live with my parents, but how are YOU doing?"

I try to avoid people I graduated with lol

Hmm so your professor wants to do half the work and only teach the Tuesday-Thursday session?   <_<

Well, to be fair to her, she has had a fever for 25 days or something ridiculous like that and still came in a handful of times while sick.

In other news, I went to a gym last Friday with a friend for the first time in ages and now they keep calling me telling me they have a special rate from their corporate office or something and I really don't know what to do. On one hand, if it's a genuinely good rate and my friend can make it (I don't like working out alone. Motivation issues, ya feel me?), I think I should do it, but on the other hand, if I call and they're like "Oh yeah, it's actually the same rate everyone else pays, but we're calling it our special guest rate just for you!" or something and I have to decide on the phone whether or not I'm interested, that would really suck. I don't know what to dooOOOoOOoOoOO

Decide how much you're willing to pay before the phone call, and if the price is too high, try negotiating...and if that still fails, tell them goodbye :P.

lol at the programming language talk. I'm a CS major and all I've encountered is Java,C++,C#,VB.net, Javascript,PHP.

I've mostly been able to sit on my ivory tower of C based object oriented languages and skip a lot of the annoying stuff out there.

There's no Haskell in your discrete math class?

Any of you guys good at physics? I hate it. Also I just copied this off my post on Reddit...

The current in a 1.50mm × 1.50mm square aluminum wire is 1.00A . What are (a) the current density and (b) the electron drift speed?

So current density is J=I/A so J=1/(1.5x10-3)2 = 444,444 A/m2 . (Had me put it in MA for whatever inane reason, so 0.444 MA/m2)

Electron drift speed vd = J/ne = 444444/(2.1x1029 * 1.6x10-19) = 1.32 x 10-5 m/s

It wants it in micrometers per second, so that x106 = 13.23.

BUT THAT'S NOT THE ANSWER. (According to MasteringPhysics which is garbage.) What am I screwing up here?

As far as I can remember, it all looks right.  It doesn't affect the final answer, but are you sure your system wants the answer to the first calculation in megamperes (1MA=10^-6A) and not miliamperes (1mA=10^3A)?

Other than what Arceus said, that looks right to me. Source: I'm going to bomb an exam on this stuff on Tuesday.

I'm noticing a distinct lack of jewelry on either person's left ring finger.
Believe the missus gave it away. At least, I can't imagine calling only a girlfriend the missus.

I still need to put together a costume for tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll go find some demon horns in the morning then hit a goodwill and find a Hawaiian shirt I can throw under a old blazer I already own and some cut up shorts and be a vacationing demon.

That's actually fairly clever.

I'm throwing on a Ray Rice jersey and dragging around a blow up doll by her hair.

Umm, that last post was made at 6 AM.

At the aftermaths of a night drinking.

That night was [bleep]ing LEGENDARY!

And it is fraternity as in definition as it is a male student society. We have no frat parties or such things, we are an academic society and we have lectures and public presentations about issues in society and so on.

And he quit as in went asleep.

I still don't know all details about last night. But we played kindergarten games with some chicks on town square, I apparently hit on some girls absolutely pathetically, I ended up creeping out a whole fast food joint, had a large wrap, and after that a GIANT cheeseburger (diameter of 15 cm's) and after those a large portion of french fries aswell.

Played some quarter aswell.

You meant frats?

You have it mandatory to wear suits, no swearing, no overwhelming drinking.

We sing and have ballroom dancing classes.

Singing is a freaking huge part of any korporation (frat-thingy) in Estonia.

Closest academic societies to ours exist in Latvia and Germany, this thing doesn't exist anywhere else nowadays.

I don't know about that man, you implied that you got pretty drunk a couple of posts ago O.O.
