Was walking the dog tonight while it was snowing, and between the snow and the lights, it's really starting to feel like Christmas for me. Of course, we are slated for a big rainstorm for Christmas, so it's looking like actual snow on the big day is out of the question (it was pretty much a Christmas miracle that we got a white Christmas last year). Maybe we should start calling rain 'Nova Scotian Snow' given how often we get it when other regions get snow (*cough* New Brunswick *cough*). In a break from a tradition going back at least as far as I can remember, the presents will all be wrapped and under the tree before Christmas Eve (tradition dictates that they come down right before we go to sleep on Christmas Eve). It's festive, but I feel like the presents are going to be taunting me. Tree has to be decorated first though (this is not unusual). Also, one of my presents is apparently being held hostage to the postal system, so we'll see how that goes :lol: And of course, it just isn't Christmas for me until I slip into my Christmas Admin costume :) 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This is the first year I can remember where I actually feel pretty good (Id feel even better if my friends decided where our NYE party is going to be) I get laid off again in like a week BUT I also have a date tomorrow, I'm in the process of getting my Philadelphia Parking Authority Certification and I'm getting ready to get my HRM-CP in the next few months. All of these big boy life choices coming soon makes me really appreciate my aimless 20's approach to 2014. I went to Vegas, saw damn near all of my friends and never had to say no to anything I wanted to say yes to. Total freedom. It was a good year. All the food and all the time in the world... So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. Also, if you're Charlie Brown. Being alone aside, it's a pretty stressful time of year for just about everyone who is an adult I think. Gifts to buy, events to go to, family drama. Then he went overseas and I haven't really talked to him, maybe like 3 times in the past 3 months. Still think he is over there but I'm not too sure. But yeah I AM SOMEWHAT OF AN ADULT NOW.
