I'm in the middle of my spring break and my manager scheduled me for 7 out of my 9 spring break days... Used my last day off this week to go see London Has Fallen which was ruined by [wagon] screwing around on their phones during the movie. I seriously want to buy a signal jammer because I can never seem to watch a movie without other people being dicks.

I don't drink as much anymore. Ain't got time nor money. And having a girl reduces the need for going out aswell.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

O Canada.

Only got $220 USD for $300 Canadian dollars, down by $9 USD since I last exchanged the same amount in December :(

Either way, I always spend considerably less than I expect when I go to the US so I'm not too bothered.

I am feeling fantastic. I got my varsity jacket today that officially has the marching band written on it with my surname on my right arm.

I have been looking forward to this jacket forever - Yeah, I'm a sellout really. In September I was scoffing at everyone for wearing University gear but here I am, in the most University-centric society but I've met the best people, and I'm enjoying being in the band a lot - they gave me an upgraded saxophone so now it's like 70/30 good notes to squealing (saxophones are really annoying to control at times and squeal from time to time) . I've also got the marching and playing the instrument at the same time sorted out and I've been able to watch myself back on Youtube and see where I could improve so that's all good too.

Midterms done as well - I'm going to have a good ending to my year abroad definitely.

Out of curiosity, have you ever tried overblowing to reach higher notes? I doubt it would ever come up in marching band, but it might have if you've done other styles. Just the talk about squealing made me think of it :P

It just squeals when I do that - today wouldn't be a good day because I got so drunk and the entire day I've just been completely wasted and even went to band practice drunk.

I was significantly more conversational and jovial. Very lively - I can't believe I actually accomplished everything I expected to, today.

First celebration of St Patrick's was a good one

I don't even want to show my face today I'm so embarrassed. I need to keep a low profile. More importantly I need to buy snacks for the trip to Montreal but I just want some typical British things and now idk what to do because I can't have them here :(

Today I logged in RuneScape to get Harmonic Dust while I read the forums here.

Today I forwent my company's traditional business of mining in favor of buying the "Java Gaming Experts" for approximately $300 million.

My skin is finally getting soft
I'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

You know, I never really thought about this, but was runite ore and subsequent armor/weapons supposed to be magical? Because it was named based off runes, right, which definitely were magical, so that implies that the metal was supposed to be as well. It was not though, in any way, or at least it wasn't when I retired.

I don't think so. After rune you have:

dragon - not able to be acquired in the traditional way but still bits of dragon metal

barrows - pieces of armor from the barrows brothers

bandos - the armor from the god/god's generals

torva - more powerful version of bandos from Nex's generals

testu - crafted from the East with inanimate materials

malevolent - crafted from energy and other materials

achto - something something raids, but don't think there's anything magical there.

Java Gaming Experts who neither use Java, nor make expertly crafted games

Almost as terrible a name as the Holy Roman Empire, who was neither Holy nor Roman nor an Empire

Holy Roman Empire pretty much was an empire at the start. At the time of Charlemagne, it was pretty much all of Christian Europe.

In other news, 2 days of late night shifts in a row.

There's nothing in the canon about runite (or adamantite or mithril), but it might have been created by the dragonkin/someone else as a means of feeding dragons

I don't think it's "magical", but it definitely has some power from the elder gods in it.

I love night shifts. Morning shifts make me want to kill myself.
