Drunk af.

Mate had a renovation and housewarming party. Had over 70 people in a one-room apartment. Cops were called. People were thrown out. Stove was replaced with a bowl for punsch. Dry ice was obtained to make all drinks extra flashy/smokey.

Also, I love how you adore me for the Miss Hotties. New one is up, check it out!

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

Speaking of hype, there is a show that airs around 9:00 PM EST on a certain premium channel.

[spoiler=don't look if you give a crap about spoilers]I was disappointed about the ending, though completely of my own doing. I expected Drogon and instead got the show-only Fire-type/steel-beam Daenerys. I wonder how TWOW will handle her meeting with the Khal, considering Drogon is at her side...

That is all.

Not being able to discuss this new season with people because I've read all the books but haven't watched the show since season 1 has gotten so frustrating that I've begun rewatching the entire series from the beginning. It'll give me something to do while I'm doped up on vicodin after getting my wisdom teeth pulled next week I guess, maybe I'll be caught up by the time this season ends haha.

I manged to injure myself after a mere two weeks of starting to run and now iI get knee pains whenever I run or try doing squats. This is ridiculously frustrating because I really wanted to get in better shape this summer since I have the time, but now I can't really do any of the exercises I really like doing. I guess I can still do weight training on my upper body and I can go on walks without hurting my knee but I'm really looking for ideas for other possibly more effective ways to deal with this. Bleh.

Handed in my notice at work today. Not quite sure when my last day will be, but probably within the next few weeks. Gonna be fun finding a replacement.

What happened for you to leave? Seemed like you had a pretty good job with pretty good pay.

Few different reasons to be honest. But mainly i just want to try and focus on my flying for now. I had a pretty deep conversation with a friend of mine the other night and it made a few things become very clear to me. I've always had a lot of trouble finishing something i started. With everything from day-to-day activities, to games, fitness, etc. I started my aviation training back in 2011. It's a course that should have taken me no longer than 2 years at the very most. It's been 4 and a half years now and i'm still at the exact same spot i was at the end of 2012. I got really close to finishing, but then i just... fell off. And it's not because i stopped enjoying it, it's just because the end was in sight. Same thing went for when i was studying Law and also when i was doing Psychology. I breezed through the first year or 18 months, and then i just stopped. I still live with my parents even though i've owned an apartment for the past year. I kind of dislike "what i've become" and i feel a large part of it is due to living here. I don't have to do anything for myself, i'm not bothered about any sort of personal professional growth, and it kind of feels like if i keep going at this rate i'm going to be 40 years old and still living with my parents just because it's "convenient". I earn more than that my dad earned at the age of 35, when he already had a solid 10-12 years' experience. Only difference is he was truly independent, whereas i'm pretty much a man-child with disposable income. I don't value money the way i should. Anyway... kind of went a bit deeper than i planned with this post. But basically i just want to finish what i started and get my act together.

Kind of was the initial plan. But if i do ever become a pilot i don't think i'll really have any financial problems regardless of where i end up working.

I'd think different. Supposedly in the US many pilots make barely subsitance wages to fly commercially. Kind you I think that was a buzzfeed type video, so I can't say how much truth was in it.

According to glassdoor, the average salary for pilots in the states is almost $80k a year - not fantastic but well above average.

Well the US wasn't really a place i considered anyway. Apart from the licensing being different, there are other factors that make the US a bad option for me. We spoke to some retired pilots back in 2012 and they were telling us that for the first year or two they earned less than buss-drivers. After spending a good $150 or more getting to the point where i can start flying for an airline, i kind of want a job that pays a bit better than that. And i think the aviation business in the US is pretty competitive judging by how many different airlines there are. So if you start working your way up from the bottom, you're going to be paid barely anything. Preferable i'd like to, eventually, end up somewhere in EU or maybe somewhere like Emirates or Etihad. There are a few Asian airlines i wouldn't mind working for either. But i don't think i'd ever want to fly in the US commercially (if i chose to get the required licensing of course).

The low-cost carriers in Europe have taken the salaries for pilots so low, that it is quite sad even. And there are too many qualified pilots in EU. GL finding a job here.

Older brother of one of my best mates got commercial helicopter pilot license. He has nowhere to go to get a job as a helicopter pilot. Instead he works in the government on aviation security...

Actually one of my friends from Spain is in the same situation. He's had his license for over 2 years now and he's still struggling to find a job. There are airlines where you can easily find a job though, but they require you to pay for your own type-rating, which is anywhere from 20-35k. And not a lot of people have that sort of money just lying around after already spending 100k-150k on the initial training. Kinda sucks. I already have the money for my type-rating saved away so i won't have the same problem. Pretty sure i will be able to find a job in the EU without too much trouble.
