Are honey allergies a thing? Because if so that would be my answer. It does not like me too much. Otherwise yes honey everywhere

Peanut Butter is a thing that makes life worth living though

You're probably allergic to the pollen that the bees are using. Try getting honey from a different region.

I've heard that a little bit of honey every day will help alleviate your allergy symptoms though.

Peanut butter is rated correctly. Nutella is overrated. Honey is underrated. I don't know why more people don't use honey.

This is the only completely true thing I've ever read on the Internet.

Interesting read. I'll have to go over it a bit more thoroughly when I can focus a bit better. There's too much background noise for anything number-heavy :v

On the other hand, the economic literature also provides some evidence pointing towards nurture rather than nature being at the root of gender differences in competitiveness. Gneezy et al. (2008) investigate the impact of culture by conducting the same experiment, in which participants can choose between piece rate and tournament compensation for throwing balls into a basket, both with subjects stemming from a fiercely patriarchal society (the Maasai of Tanzania) and subjects from a matrilin- eal society (the Khasi of India). While the Maasai exhibit the same gender gap in competitiveness found in Western societies, the roles are reversed in the Khasi sessions. Letting teenage subjects from all-girls, all-boys, and co-educational schools choose between piece-rate and tournament compen sation for solving mazes, Booth and Nolen (2009a) find that girls attending single-sex schools are significantly more likely to choose the tournament.

This generally seems like an underinvestigated aspect of things, at any rate, and it's also probably something that could confound the experiment itself. Going to have to remember to look for this one next time I have a sizable block of time. Even with the study's findings I'm not sure if that justifies the extent of sexism that tends to come up in these sorts of arguments at all, especially since those details still tend to be used to override the way people actually behave, or overrule actual rational decisions. That's more of what I'm arguing against than averages: the idea that individuals are not allowed to exist beyond their stereotypes :v

I'll admit I'm a bit leery about how we've gone from "the wage gap is overstated" to "if there was a significant wage gap - which there isn't - it would be because of these factors". also kind of funny since risk-taking is generally not associated with rational decision-making, is it? or at least it's something I find amusing

Testosterone increases risk-taking behaviors however I don't think I've heard anything about T increasing rationality or anything. Risk exists on a spectrum-- I know many people who avoid taking any risks in their lives because they worry so much. I also know many people who recklessly take too many risks and end up with lots of trouble and drama in their lives. The key is to find a middle ground and take calculated risks. That's what top business professionals usually do.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Today I slept like 4 hours... which isn't great because I'm sleep deprived since I've been sleeping around that much for the past few days. I played a few ARAM games in League of Legends, won most of them, and played some OGame.

Saga of Prets building a computer:

Turns out 2 SATA ports on the mobo were dead. I messed around nearly two hours, thinking my HDD was doomed. Cut open all the cable ties, tried different power cables, nearly everything before trying a different SATA port on mobo...

Apparently there was a Tornado in my home town yesterday. Can't think that i've ever heard of a Tornado in South Africa in my life. Pretty weird. Waiting for the government to somehow blame the Tornado on white people.

When a white person does something in Kansas, there is a tornado in South Africa. You haven't heard this??

Lol white people being alive and living in South Africa is enough for our current government to blame anything on them. They're so anti-white it's sickening.

To follow up on the Tornado, apparently there was a mini-Tsunami as well, and as a result of that some sharks ended up swimming around in a shopping mall. Kinda crazy.

Working full time doesn't make for the most exciting of posts. I'll let you know when I do something interesting.

Although to be fair I met Tommy Wiseau last night at a screening of The Room so that was pretty cool. Theyou added 24 minutes of content because they threw in an episode of "The Neighbors Sitcom" also written directed and starred by Tommy. It was exactly what you'd expect it to be while still being freshly original (and totally incoherently funny)
