obfuscator
First day of the new job right now. First thing I did was take a massive dump. If you are sure to take a massive dump every day at work (averaging 10 minutes in length), you can use the following formula to determine the amount of money per year you are paid to take a shit: x = total "shit-dollars" y = hourly rate z = number of working days per year x = .17yz "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti

Major Dash
Care to elaborate? I'm sure most of us here would love more details. “I had a feeling we weren’t coming back from this fight when it began.”“Do you have any regrets?”“I don’t. It seems surprising, I know, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is how it was meant to be.”“Huh, you never really notice how lovely the day is until you realize you’ll never see it again.”“Mmmhmm.”

Veiva
Virtualization works amazingly well on FreeBSD! Been looking at graphics cards that support UEFI so I can use PCI pass-through for hardware accelerated graphics. I'm thinking about the Radeon R9 460... Will need two more sticks of RAM, as well, to go from 8 GB to 16 GB.

RpgGamer
Cashier was probably begging someone to say something in their head because they aren't allowed to. I hate being confrontational but don't let people shit on retail folks. Bad enough their job sucks. 1 Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. I'd rather not mix RAM brands or sizes, so I'll just get another set.

Noxx
Told both sets of parents about the impending offspring. Did not go as poorly as I thought it might. I'm glad they acted responsibly. I've seen it enough times where they threw a fit and then acted like nothing happened after the baby was born. Or after it wasn't born. If you catch my drift. Kalphite
I'm gradually getting the hang of things more at work but I'm still convinced that javascript is bullshit. My boss has been super understanding about how much work it is to get caught up but it's still stressful feeling like im floundering around through this all the time. I hung out with some coworkers for the first time on Saturday for a planned LOTR extended movie marathon. I only made it halfway through the second movie though. There is just no reason for those movies to be four hours long lol. Apparently the rest of them also gave up after the second movie was over too. I saw the Dear Hunter again on Saturday. They were decent but they didn't play anything off of either of my favorite albums of theirs. Same with Eisley, who opened for them. Definitely preferred the Dear Hunter show I went to in May to this but it's definitely better than anything else I would've been doing haha. I just wish I could figure out more ways to meet people. I've only really been hanging out with my roommate and one of my friends from college that's out here (and a girl from Tinder that was going well but utterly trainwrecked lmfao). I guess it'll all come with time though; things are already getting better and I'm definitely in a much better place mentally now than I was when I moved here about a month ago. Arceus
1+"1"=2"1"+1=11 Have to force it into a type anyways to prevent errorsThose don't both return 11? Interesting.... Hedgehog
They both return "11" Type inference is the best solution to the problem, but weak typing is better than having to create types for literally everything
Tesset
I mean, types still have to be made for literally everything. It's not like dynamic typing is getting around that problem, it's just forcing you as the programmer to keep track of the type manually at every step. It literally only makes conversion easier, and that's a rare thing in comparison to just using variables. 2 My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off
