MuffinMaddy 188 Posted December 30, 2015 I'm in America for the first time in my adult life. Trying to reenact my favourite song "Englishman in new York" and if anyone knows the avenue referenced in this song then cookies will be awarded. Estonian dude 238 Posted December 30, 2015 I know at least 2 Tifers live together... But damn, would be fun to go out drinking with RPG and muggi and listen to their conflicting views :D So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.I strike out every other week.Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.Randox pretty much stays rational.Etc, etc
Boris5000 315 Posted December 30, 2015 I've organized a few small meet ups with friends in the UK over the last few years, mainly with people in the Hyt friends chat. It was great fun Where was my invite [wagon]?? Luck be a Lady
Lower Levelled 68 Posted December 30, 2015 Hung out with Horatio for a bit today. Are we the first TIF members to meet in person? (Outside of prior knowing each other)Pretty sure I've read about a few posters meeting up over the years. Seems like a couple met up like within the last few months but I could be wrongTo my knowledge muggi lives the closest to me of any of you bastards

Dragonkng198 651 Posted December 31, 2015 I know of at least two couples that fit that bill, there have probably been more that haven't been as well known I met my fiancee through Tip.It and the HYT friends chat, and we'd never met before then, so I guess that counts? :P 1 [hide=Stats] [/hide]

Horatio 39 Posted December 31, 2015 I made a post on the 22nd about starting to feel sick and thinking it would last 6 - 7 days. I was right. I woke up feeling fine on the 28th, but then yesterday morning the sensation came back and now I'm where I was a week ago in terms of ailment. The weird part is that it's not like some sort of horrible diarrhea fever that keeps relapsing. It's just enough to make me absolutely miserable while still being able to function. My father has a history of really bad allergies that eventually lead to a bunch of giant polyps forming in his nose and him needing surgery, so hopefully this isn't his shit genes starting to come out in me. In the same post, I mentioned being done with finals and thinking I might have failed two courses. I got a B in and a B+ in the other. The best part is that my cumulative grade for both was well below 70%. Without trying to sound too pretentious, I guess that means I did above average, but that means the average for those classes was probably around 50% which doesn't really make me feel any better. At least I don't have to pay to take the classes again.

At least I don't have to pay to take the classes again. Can't stand people that insist they failed when they obviously aren't close I mean, let's be fair, sometimes you *are* close and suddenly you aren't. Like, I had a class last semester where I was sitting at between a D and a C from week 1 until week 17, because the teacher was only putting in quiz grades and not returning assignments. Like, up until the last week before finals, I was on the verge of failing, and I was calculating minimum test scores to get a C in the class because of it. Then he put in the assignments, and I went from a C- (minimum to pass) to an A- in 1 day. If I were just like, "Yeah, I about failed that class, but I got an A in the end" it'd sound like that, but I legit did almost fail, or at least spent a lot of time in the "almost failing" column. My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off
Ring_World 753 Posted December 31, 2015 One time I had a teacher give me a C- which was a fail for me. The end percentage I got: 72%, no curve. I had to pay for that class again...

Ring_World 753 Posted December 31, 2015 Discrete math was a [bleep]. At my school both CS and math majors have to take it and they definitely aim it towards the math majors. So as I learned in high school geometry, proofs aren't my friend and that class was 95% proofs.
Hedgehog 2501 Posted December 31, 2015 Dude I got a C in discrete math. What a bullshit class. The grade was relative to everyone else in the class, so of course everyone who was doing poorly in the class dropped, and I almost ended up failing as a result
Alg 2522 Posted December 31, 2015 Grading relative to the rest of the class just seems like an awful idea from every possible angle. I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
Noxx 315 Posted December 31, 2015 Happy New Years to everyone. My year already started off better. I'm not stuck in a holding cell :D Also sad news. Apparently one of the buildings in Dubai caught fire. Last i heard no one died, but 2 or 3 people were injured. Hopefully that's as bad as it gets. Amazingly though the building was ablaze for hours without collapsing or bringing down any of the surrounding buildings. So that's good too.

RpgGamer 1089 Posted January 1, 2016 Happy new years guys and gals. I spent mine at work being hugged by drunk strangers. I think imma quit real soon. And I don't think I had any idea that a relationship such as that formed on TIF. How bout that. What a forum. Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Estonian dude 238 Posted January 1, 2016 I spent the new years in Riga. Pretty epic fireworks display and stuff, but kinda expected, as it is the largest city in the Baltics.
