Tequila is the worst thing invented by capitalism.

t3aGt.png

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

cruises are the worst thing invented by capitalism

Now that is an opinion I need to hear more of. Why are cruises that bad?

i like having opinions that allow me to feel superior to others

Tequila is the worst thing invented by capitalism.

pretty sure Tequila has existed a lot longer than modern capitalism xD

*in the voice of the extremely pretenious guy at the new year's party* Yeas but have you ever had a good sipping tequilla?

My skin is finally getting soft

I don't remember this. Uhhhhhhhh

That's what Tequila does to you...

Oh my god, I love this man. That was amazing.

Edit: Oh, it's an SNL skit. That's a lot less exciting.

For-profit health care gets my vote for worst invention of capitalism. That, or the automobile.

Tequila wasn't available here before capitalism, so my point still stands.

Blimey, I should not drink that one brand of beer that I know always gives me a headache in the morning. Or, well, evening, as we finished at around 7 AM. But it was the only light beer left and I didn't want dark beer...

[hide=pain]Had my first full session of electrolysis today, and when I left the place, my right arm was bruised from clenching the electricity wand. The actual needle wasn't much worse than the shorter session last time, but my arm was flexed for a lot longer, and had more time to hurt itself.

Going back to work after that and typing was rough. I can deal with temporary pain pretty well, it's the lasting stuff that gets to me.[/hide]

tequila does pre-date capitalism though

capitalism: 1800s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_capitalism#Origins_of_capitalism

tequila: 1500s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tequila#History

idk man I've never had problems with tequila but I don't get drunk twice a day

...

also looking back at my scholarship app I made a slip up (put spring 2019 instead of spring 2018) so I'm not gonna get it LOL

also never heard back from Epic so I'm going to chalk that up to 'overqualified' instead of being a negative nancy

I started watching kitchen nightmares in my down time. 2 episodes in. Neither restaurant was "rescued"

Most of those places don't really get fixed. Even if they get 'fixed' in the episode, they shut down. After each episode, go and look the restaurant on Google or Yelp to see if it closed. It seems that 9/10 of those places all closed within a year of getting 'fixed' due to them going back to the same old crap.

“I had a feeling we weren’t coming back from this fight when it began.”

“Do you have any regrets?”

“I don’t. It seems surprising, I know, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is how it was meant to be.”

“Huh, you never really notice how lovely the day is until you realize you’ll never see it again.”

“Mmmhmm.”

That's what I'm doing at the end of each episode. There s actually a website that breaks it down already, but I have a lot of down time and I want to watch it for myself haha. The series boasts a 26% successful rescue rate as of the end of 2017.

But to be fair by the time Ramsey shows up at most of these dumps, they're already long past beyond repair. Makes for fun tv though.

But as long as I'm talking about the show, God damn I hate the American traditional reality tv format.

1) show intro with over dramatic music

2) tease 5 minutes of content about what I'm about to see

3) 5 more minutes of footage I'm about to see

4) commercial break

5) actual content for 10 minutes, most of which I saw in the intro

6) commercial break

7) re cap of last 10 minutes of footage

8) 3 minute epilogue

9) 10 minutes of previews of the next episode (see also: step 2 - but for next episode)

10) commercial

11) promotion of something

12) end episode, begin step 1 for next episode

Why would covering my head when going to sleep stop an annoying night time cough caused by my cold/flu?

No joke, I wear a winter hat to sleep when I'm sick and it helps a ton. I learned it from one of the immigrant kitchen guys I used to work with and shit is magic.

Since we're on the topic, is waking up coughing a real thing? Or like being kept up coughing?

Maybe I'm just lucky but I've never really experienced either, to my memory, so always assume someone is just exaggerating when they say something like that.
