Chapp3rs
i noticed in the update news today that corporeal beast can now attack people underneath him too, i haven't got round to going to the corporeal beast yet, but this sounds like it could be pretty significant (nice guide btw, looks very well organised - i had a go at making some gwd ones and it just ended up a mess)
Returnofmic
10/10 As stated, tanking (and killing the monster as a whole) just got a lot harder. The Corporeal beast has become wise to your tricks and has gained a stomp attack that hurts players standing underneath him. Juhnie
Looks nice, simple and clear guide. One little thing though.. Equipment Neitiznot helm > cheap melee helm Glory > Life necklace Zamorak spear > dragon spear > dragon halberd Proselyte > monkrobes or black dhide Barrows gloves > lower gloves Unholy book (shield can be nearly anything) Ring of life Rune boots > lower metal boots I think you should include Leaf-Bladed Sword, considering: Dragon spear Stats Attack Stab 55 Slash 55 Crush 55 Magic 0 Range 0 Other Strength 60 Leaf-bladed sword Attack Stab 67 Slash 62 Crush 0 Magic 0 Range 0 Other Strength 50 As you can see, Leaf-Bladed Sword beats Dragon Spear when it comes to Stab attack bonus, and it's only 2k more expensive on G/E than Dragon Spear. Otherwise, I laiks much. =D> 10/10. Master of Attack ~ August 29th, 2010Proud to have served the awesome Tip.It Crew <
Aussietroopa
Just a tip, I've noticed when the Corp beast is hit over 35 damage, it'll release a Core and automatically attack whoever hit it; because of this its probably better to kill the Core if you see it, it makes the kill faster and wastes less food, especially if the majority are meleer's not ranger's. oliboli1992
wow nice guide, but the technique of steeping under the corporeal beats, does that still work cos i know he has been updated to be able to stomp on them? [spoiler=Sig] I like to think of the Dark Bow like a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) - you get one shot and then you're screwed.
matrix2613
Wow, this is a pretty great guide, it is very well organized and easy to read. One thing you should look into, however, would be the dark bow. With level 99 rangers being able to hit in the 90's, the bow having a minimum hit of 16, it might be another approach to killing the beast. Treyd
The Corporeal Beast has a new attack called "Stomp". It's where he stomps on the ground, causing players under him to take damage. I think this should be added to the guide, as well as a way to get away from it. I heard that people now exit the area when they're taking damage. Otherwise, amazing guide. Cops give a damn about a negro.Pull the trigga, kill a *****, he's a hero.Give the crack to the kids, who the hell cares? One less hungry mouth on the Welfare. Here's the topic: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=766937 BTW- 10/10 You need a MINIMUM of 21 99 rangers in void, if all hit the absolute max. You need 125 if all hit the minimum. To 1 hit the corp beast, you'd need 50-60 people, if not more because of it's incredible defense. Although one hitting it is ridiculous, using the dark bow as a special weapon would be good. 99 magic achieved on July 3rd 2008.

yuyu1234567
I've got a noob question. The beast is classified as "undead", so why hasn't anybody mentioned the Salve Amulet?
walka92
I've got a noob question. The beast is classified as "undead", so why hasn't anybody mentioned the Salve Amulet? because salve doesnt work I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come
JoeDaStudd
I'd love to see a big team of rangers with dark bows take it on. Each spec (with d arrows) hits 8 * 2. You can get 2 specials pretty quick (since its a 55% drain). So your talking about each ranger getting a guaranteed ((8*2)*2) 32. 2000/32=63 rangers for a phase 2 kill. Nice guide, gives me an incentive to start and finish Summer's End. Would magic long bow be any good there since the special is, and I quote "An accurate shot that will definitely inflict damage"? It's called massing; a team of 20-30 players can kill general graardor in like 5 seconds. And the corporeal beast's defence isn't THAT high. We're not dealing with a giant rock crab here. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
K112
Brilliant guide. Saw you updated it recently, pictures of inventories gone. Thought i'd help (if you need it) with a picture of the basic range inv. : I know its not much, but help is help. Benjamin6264
Great guide, very in-depth  I just have one question, though : Are Spectral, Arcane, Elysian and Divine Spirit Shields made from attaching a sigil to a regular spirit shield or to a blessed spirit shield? In your guide, it's written that they are made from a regular spirit shield, but I've always thought it was from a blessed one. | The Complete God Wars Dungeon Guide (AoW) | The Berserker Necklace / Obsidian Weapons Guide |

The tactic is outdated and means sudden death. So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

warrior5024
walling around the beast works well, but this guide tells you to go underneath it should the beast target you. This was before his "stomp" update, now he'll just hit very high with melee if you try this, faster than you can heal. So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
