Kietaro1
If the new strategy game works in the following way I will be very excited to play it. Actually RTS in Runescape has me excited anyway :P At first you will hire a group of mercenaries to fight to defend your castle. This will mean that you may have to pay every time that you play the game and of course better mercenaries would cost more money. On top of that I think that you will supply your army with different bows, arrows, weapons, and armor that one might aquire over time spent skilling (thus giving a purpose to those 5k mage bows that you just strung other than alching them). This would create a purpose for all types of smithable armors, fletchable bows, craftable hides, etc. It would sucessfully (in my opinion) join skilling with other elements of Runescape. Heck they may even have a system that would pair you with strategians of the same level making your iron army be able to compete against players of iron armies instead of runite armies. The picture shows 3 groups, maybe mage, range, and melee so that you could manipulate flanking, the combat triangle, or other strategies to even overpower higher geared armies with skill instead of money spent. You would outfit each group every battle with different armors accordingly and have the triangle represented. Bottom line, it will be fun but it looks like a money sink. Range_This11
I'm wondering how safe spots are going to work in the new PvP worlds. Say you're standing outside a bank and someone attacks you. Could you just jump in and out of the Safe Spot? This could create a lot of havoc within the first 4 spaces leading to the bank. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
Kietaro1
I can't find what familiar this is, anyone know or is it new? One might speculate that since the ranger has his/her health bar showing that she is fighting the beast. I mean that seems to be the easiest explanation. But then again I just love how people jump right for the most ridiculous stuff when Runescape is involved :D

To me it looks like the 2 characters with health bars are fighting each other and the beast is a familiar of the melee dude. Trust the Gene Genie! ShadowFire
I suppose the drop in the amount of updates per month will bring about a rise in the quality of them, but I'm actually a bit disappointed by this. Sure you get 1 big update per month and then a smaller one, but what if you have no interest in the big update? Take this month for example, you've got PKing worlds, anyone who has zero interest in Pking like myself has basically got no updates (besides the normal holiday event) to look forward to this month. Coupled with Clan Wars being the "headline" update last month, and probably Moblising Armies next month, that's 3 months where anyone who isn't a Pker is just being tossed the months customary short quest. Same goes for if the big update for the month is Farming related and you hate Farming, you've just got a single quest for the month. With 3 per month the chances are there was always 2 updates that would at least mildly interest you.
Dharockslayer
Let me just summarize what the BTS could have just said in one line. "WELCOME BACK E-THUGS!" Glad to be back[/sarcasm] The idiots have always stayed, granted there were less 'pure' idiots. E-thugging my way to the highest possible postcount. -On topic- I should apoligize, I did not read that people were talking about the 18 spaces of familiar inventory. I apoligize for being a wagon to have some fun. Now to give some real feedback. Summons may only be used in multi zones, so Varrock will be void of them, except for the bunyips and healer familiars. However, Falador will see a huge uprise of familiars used in combat, like said the ravenous locust and geyser titans will reign. However, not everybody, the mayority, cannot afford the summoning level needed for this creature. It will be exclusive, just like the divine shield mention earlier. I myself have used some familiars in duel tournaments, mainly the karamthulhu. Because of its magic attacks and 'drown' special which he unloads some times. Bunyip does not work in pvp, simply because of the hitpoints level, which is a measily 40 hp. Even a lvl 80 with a adamant warhammer can take it down. Storage familiars could well be used a lot if you stuff it full with food and what not, and dismiss it for a longer death match. I'm sure people will have strategies about familiar placement in deathmatches, so you don't have to walk up and down to the food pile. I would love to see what mayhem this will cause on the worlds, I will surely claim the Blue moon Inn's basement. Interrested in joining the cabbagy madness? SirHartlar
Although I have never been a Pker, I think PvP worlds will offer a fun experience. I like the idea of holding down a building with your friends, and avoiding players whilst skilling. Obviously I won't want to risk my whole bank (some people will), but even in less expensive gear I'm sure it'll be great.
Ixindor
I plan on checking out these world in armor/weapons I can make myself. Might actually encourage me to raise my smithing more. This way, if I die, which I'm sure I will with my Mithril Armor and Adamant Dagger, I can just make it. Not a big loss! \

JaGeX will obviously muck up the new pvp worlds and the Holiday events aren't fun anymore... -.- How will they muck up the PVP worlds? And have you played the Hallow'een quest? I hate people who think everything is doomed to fail because Jagex made it. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. @Dan3HitU
Honestly; I think it will fail, there's too much hype, everyone is saying "wilderness is coming back" when it's totally getting re-worked, I genuinely don't see it being a "big hit" as most people are making it out to be, however, I could be wrong. And Who cares about the reawrds. Is that what RuneScape has come to now ? "If it don't have good rewards its crap mannn" Whatever happened to the fun in just doing a holiday event? I don't know which mod did this. I don't know why they did it. If they're looking for money, I can tell them I don't have any as I'm a student. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over 4 years of RuneScape. Skills that I have worked hard for and people like them can't take them away. If they give me my particles back now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for them, I will not pursue them. But if they don't, I will look for them, I will find them, and they won't like what'll happen
Blutters
The updates look great. I hope that I'll have access back by the time they're released. Skimming over the first few pages: Why are so many people complaining? RuneScape always has something to offer everybody. This month they're going combat heavy. Last month included several quests and even some higher-level skill updates. Why treat this like politics? RuneScape is a game for enjoyment. The Halloween events (and any other holiday events for that matter) are for adding a little more enjoyment. They're always simply going to be a cheap laugh or a quick, unique, amusing distraction, and people should accept that. I've never been a PK'er, and I won't jump right into the PvP worlds (assuming I have access). But that's no reason to complain about them. The only point related to this that I agree with is that the community slightly improved when many PK'ers left, and that you could see a bit of downfall once the PvP worlds were announced... A nice looking month with attractive updates that I hope I'll be able to enjoy.

fat_klutz
I might start actually playing again instead of just trolling if these PVP worlds are any good! But still, there are so many things that are gonna need balancing and [cabbage] on these worlds so I hope Jagex comes back and revisits them in a month or two. I really wonder how Jagex is going to deal with teleporting and [cabbage].... Still though, looks GREAT! Hope Jagex doesn't blow it!
