The_Sith
Post pictures of your desktop! As usual, Bitmaps are not allowed. Please don't post anything with: scantily clad women, RS cheating programs (not that we're advocating their use, but if you do use them, and post a picture of it, you will be banned). Try not to post things where you're obviously using any kind of pirating software. If your desktop is larger than 1024x768, please upload it at http://imageshack.us and post the thumbnail link. Note: Due to the graphic-intensity of this thread, historical posts will be removed periodically.
Faux
Customizing Your Desktop: Widgets & Visual Styles Widgets: In computer software, a widget engine is host software system for physically inspired applets on the desktop (desktop widgets). Originally, desk accessories were developed to provide a small degree of multitasking, but when real multitasking OSes became available, these were replaced by normal applications. However, the widget model is attractive because of ease of development. Most widgets can be created with a few images and from less than ten to several hundred lines of XML/JavaScript/VBScript, depending on their complexity. In layman's terms, it's those fancy clock/calendar/weather/etc. tools that appear on people's desktops. To use it, download the Widget Engine @ http://widgets.yahoo.com/ Browse the gallery for more widgets. Be careful though as these things hog a lot of RAM. Visual Styles: Visual Styles is what changes the theme/appearance of the display - from the taskbar to the program title bars. This is a bit more complicated than the Widgets, but it makes the desktop look much better. Some people prefer to have some programs (ie. WindowsBlinds, StyleXP, etc.) to change the appearance. But we don't need that. What we need is to patch your computer's uxtheme DLL to not need these programs. Download the patcher at: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=501245 - Universal UXTheme Patcher. There's other versions of this, but this is the one I used. It's a mere 66kb file. Unrar it and patch! Now that the uxtheme DLL is patched, you can now freely install any Visual Styles of your choosing, these are the sites I recommend: http://browse.deviantart.com/customizat ... lltime=yes http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?libid=1 Wallpaper: The basics. http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/ http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/wallpaper/ Note: to mods, when doing the monthly cleaning, it would be nice if you can keep this post. A lot of people ask the same question every month about these things. edit: http://cpkc.wordpress.com/2007/01/30/cu ... r-desktop/ - I tried to make it clearer in this post. Cursor: You should download CursorXP here (if you don't already have it): http://www.download.com/CursorXP/3000-2 ... 70056.html [This has been checked, and it's confirmed that there isn't a Keylogger on this, this to prevent the recent confusion ~Kill Life] Then search for "CursorXP" here: http://www.deivantart.com There may be an easier way, but that's how I do it. ;) :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

OldJoe
Opera is dead, sorry to say. And where is your source for this information? Last year, during the first quarter of the year, they had a revenue (correct word?) on 65.7m sek (about 6.5m euros), the same quarter this year they have showed a revenue on 102.7m sek (10.2m euros). So, until i hear a pressrelease from them saying "we are shutting down", i'm not going to agree with you. http://www.idg.se/2.1085/1.165442 J'adore aussi le sexe et les snuff moviesJe trouve que ce sont des purs moments de vieJe ne me reconnais plus dans les gensJe suis juste un cas désespérantEt comme personne ne viendra me réclamerJe terminerai comme un objet retrouvé
