I played it on a friends steam and even though I've finished the game I'm going to buy it and the soundtrack. 12/10 EDIT: to give some context on UT It reminds me of Bastion when it came out. For a freaking RPG maker type game it has a better story than destiny. It starts kinda slow but then draws you in (just like Bastion) the combat is fresh and amazing. The characters and so memorable and funny. The music sets the mood of every single area to a T. It started as a cool little game but ended as an obsession. Believe there are 3 different endings (only spoiler info) that makes the replay value so great for a RPG maker game. Get it. I assure you of you're any type of gamer you'll enjoy the hell out of this gem. I've actually played my share of bullet hell games and things like Super Meat Boy. But he still really young and he is doing pure mercy. Poppet Posted November 6, 2015 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Thinking about picking up Oblivian...I've been playing Fallout 3 as I never got to play the dlcs when I played it when it had just came out. All I know is it hasn't aged well compared to New Vegas. I've had a hard time getting over its myriad of technical flaws and worse mod support than NV. I've never actually played Oblivion though all I know is its Gamebyro engine is older than Fallout 3's. Which really sucks and that a lot of people like it more than Skyrim for its stronger gameplay dynamics. If you're okay with less than stellar mod support and okayish graphics I'd imagine it's better than a relatively unmodded Skyrim. I'd recommend it. I don't know a single other game that has had that much talk about mods, specially at the time. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. It's just lacking the console and scriptability Skyrim has and the obvious graphic quality. But Skyrim is new and supposed to be better in a whole lot of aspects but so is Oblivion in other aspects. It factually has 50% more mods on the nexus than Oblivion let alone the steam workshop in a significantly shorter time. It doesn't mean it's a bad game it's just worse on that aspect not that it isn't more moddable than everything else. Guild Wars 2 Heart of Thorns is my life now. It's so good. I got it yesterday, sank two hours in, only problems so far I've had are a couple of graphical glitches and [spoiler=Super minor early game spoiler]the fact that I've already got power armour, I don't dig it, I should work for this, not have it handed to me. But then again, I only just got it and if this plays out well, all will be well. Overall the game feels like skyrim (which is a very good thing). Running the game on max settings and other than some framrate drops inside the game runs very well. My dual 550ti SLI setup I transfered from my old to my new computer when I built it (to save on costs at the time, last spring), can't handle Fallout 4 at a decent fps. I'll have to wait to see the black friday sales on graphics cards to see what I pick. I wanna beef up the GPU...but I can't swing it right now :/ New thoughts on the game. Only issues I have now is sometimes after a hour or so the game will shutter to a halt. That almost happened to me when I first attacked Outpost Zimonja (east of Sanctuary). The mini nuke went soaring past my head. Scared me ALMOST as much as when the deathclaw in that pit outside of Malden (I believe. There, or Lexington) started chasing me. Coincidentally, I ran into Malden while trying to escape, and the deathclaw got distracted by some synths, so I managed to escape to the elementary school. And suddenly, there was a miniature nuclear explosion in the city, so I decided to check it out. Discovered the remains of the deathclaw (deadclaw hurr hurr), multiple Institute synths, and a suicide super mutant. Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne. Randox Posted November 16, 2015 Share Posted November 16, 2015 Since I've decided, at least for now, not to get Fallout 4 (it's too limited as a role playing game. The game is trying to tell me a story, rather than letting me tell/discover my own, and that's not what I'm looking for right now), I got the LSPDFR mod working for GTA 5 again on my computer (allows you to play as the police). I'm glad to see that the whole thing where peds don't know that you're a cop until you interact with them is still not failing to result in hilarity/awesomeness. I don't have the screenshots because my game freaked out and went to windowed mode, but one of my top moments would be a routine traffic stop (suspected drunk driver) turning into a massive shootout. Best guess is I might have pulled over a gang member inside their territory (or was otherwise just inside gang territory). Really nice to be getting back into this mod. I miss some of the features from the GTA 4 version, but GTA 5 is stable enough to get in more than one or two calls (it's usually able to run at least a couple hours), and that's just soooo nice. Anyone who has GTA 5 should check the mod out. It's a lot of fun, and there are a lot of companion mods that add extra features, or more calls. It's not polished yet, the main mod is still very much being worked on, but it's getting to a really enjoyable state where there is a good feature set, and a lot of the really good mods are all on the same version of rage hook (which allows lspdfr and the other mods to run). Randox Posted November 29, 2015 Share Posted November 29, 2015 I've gotten back into Kerbal Space Program, which I haven't much since release. On the upside, the one time I did play after release, I knocked out a few really solid designs that still work, and am happily using them as the backbone of my new fleet. I did have to learn how to fly in the new aero model for a second time though, since when I started playing again, I immediately tried to fly like it was 0.90 (a flying style which normally causes rockets to flip over a few km into the air). Last night I ran a crew retrieval mission. I've decided to just launch extra fuel into orbit (if I even need to) to speed up my interplanetary missions, and save the mining for long range refuelling where possible. It's nice to see that I am still really good at getting intercepts for docking (my docking is kinda sketchy though, partly because I forgot to remap the RCS thruster controls to my liking), and I think this is the largest gathering in terms of mass and number of Kerbals I've ever done outside Kerbin orbit. Pictured are 6 kerbals, and 3 ships, weighing 30 (left), 50 (center/station), and 60 (bottom) tonnes. With some minor revisions, I think the crew return ship on the left will be my new base interplanetary design. The RCS system needs to be retooled for balance and fuel economy, and the re-entry design needs to be redone, but the ship has fantastic range and good performance in all other respects. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
