Dragonkin: After the Rise of Lucien

Yes, the right half of the symbols which adorn most of the area I've been told is officially dubbed "the Unknown Ruins" (far northeast portion of the wilderness) is the right half of the same symbol which patterns the floor of the castle walkway in the dragonkin cutscene. As I posted earlier, the left half of each of those symbols is the iconic depiction of the left half of the stone of Jas, as revealed in cutcenes during Meeting History. I know that screenshots of these cutscenes exist, and I continue to search for someone hosting one of them. Any help is appreciated. As I've stressed in my posts throughout this discussion, my main concern in this topic remains the ties between Guthix and the dragonkin. These symbols being intertwined in such a way is clear foreshadowing.

This is the depiction of the stone of Jas from Meeting History, and should be great for the first page to show side by side how the symbols found in the Unknown Ruins of the wilderness incorporate one half of the dragonkin symbol and one half of the stone of Jas symbol.

Sorry I didn't have time to host the full image myself, so hopefully you can work from the thumbnail/link and host it yourself.

Wow. I'm deeply impressed with all the information you've gathered and deduced ::' .

I hope that the Grandmaster quest is able to tie together all these loose ends and answer all these unanswered questions. Let the secret be unveiled!

As I mentioned before, seeing that the Dragonkin history was waiting to be revealed for so many years, Jagex probably won't finish it here. This being the 147th Quest, I think its second/third/final part will release next year which will be our "biggest, toughest quest with the deepest storyline ever attempted" (also quest no. 150 if a few come before it).

Just an idea ;)

Thanks..

nvm, read the posts aboove

EDIT:

maybe the whole stars are the dragonkin symbols, btw a fremmenik found the stone of jas in the wilderness right? well, i think those symbols are the stone of jas+dragonkin, so the dragonkin also have something to do with the origin of runes

Theres actaully one more thing i noticed:

1. During meeting history, when we saw the stone its form was so blurry, now let me axplain what it means:

The stone in the picture is how githix remembers the stone after it was punched in the ground by him You can see the earth, teh crater and stuff.

My guess Guthix himself isn't strong enought to do anything to it..

The clock is ticking, and your time is running out, mortals.

Psycho Robot, why can't we just be friendly colleagues? Together we have more knowledge and power than anyone else, mwuhaha! ... Yeah, but anyway, the pattern on the floor of the Dragonkin Castle is a big discovery, because this verifies that the mysterious symbol is indeed the Dragonkin symbol, and this provides a link between them and the Stone of Jas too! Also, the screenshot I provided was taken by someone else (as I´m f2p at the moment), so I didn't know the exact location. Now I know they can be found on the Mysterious Ruins in the Northeast Wilderness, this is a good clue that those ruins were once the Kin Castle. Because of the nature of the Spirit Realm, those symbols found there must once have existed in the 'real' world at the same place.

Furthermore, I have an idea about the Dragonkin and Guthix. I don't know why people claim that Guthix once was a Dragonkin, because that almost can't be. There is only a very small chance, and with that I mean a VERY small chance! I think that as Guthix wants true balance, It wouldn't only fill 'Its' Gielenor with good races. It would create/get some evil ones too, to balance things out. So maybe It is the creator of the Dragonkin, or was It the one who got the Kin out of Frenaskrae. And as they were evil, and saw how much power was stored in the Stone, maybe they began to hate and envy Guthix because It wouldn't share it's powers. Or they were just mad to be taken out of Frenaskrae, because the Kin crave bloodshed and there was plenty of that in Frenaskrae, the 'plane of eternal warfare'.

And why are people talking about a meeting of the Gods in the east? Because that's just plain nonsense! :?

Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers).

I hate to be one of "those people," but why is it nonsense? Perhaps it's my own lack of understanding, but isn't very little known about the Eastern lands? And there have been hints to an Island related to the Majharrats, wasn't there? In that one main page banner?

Or am I mistaken? :$

Well, you're right that very little is known about the Eastern Lands, but that doens't necessarily mean there's going to be a godmeeting there. And the 'kudos Isle' is located due north of Morytania, but to my knowledge no clues at all exist which tell of a godmeeting anywhere... So thats why I'm saying it's nonsense. Anyway, Gods aren't even allowed to be in Gielenor or everything on the whole planet will be destroyed, so thats kind of a problem.

I think that after fighting that last dragon kin, (with the death of oddyseus, and with him badly injured) he must have gone to the gods to ask for help (if this was true then it would make sense that this happened in the 1st age) to heal him and revive oddyseus maybe instead though they split there souls in two (resulting in memory loss) and then fused their two half souls together to get Bob the cat instead, and maybe just maybe their other soul halves are hidden away soem where waiting to be unlocked and for Robert and oddyseud to return and educate the next generation in the fight against the dragonkin.....

Also it would make sense if dragonkin existed in/near the dragon forge but as dragons cover the map it's likely that Dragonkin exist all over runescape. And with regards to the smell of dragon poo in morytania and that i associate morytania with the colour green maybe in this area adamant dragons are hiding as well as dragonkin beneath...

heres a theory for u wat if the dragonkin symbols are the 3 dragon heads. wen the jagex store opened and the bag was added i thought the 3 head were about the kbd but after reading this topic it gave me a different idea.

lets say that the 3 head is the symbol of the dragonkin:

it could explain the dragon forge if they did make it. (count them there are 3 dragon heads)

the logo on the bag would have been the appearance of the symbols.

and finally it would also explain why the King dragons have 3 heads.

now if their symbol is the heads this could mean that they work like a pack with like a main consel now if this idea is also true it could b used to explain that maybe they arent evil. the one Robert killed was on its own. now if they worked like a pack then it would only be a lone if it had left/forced to leave them. a reason for this departure could b that he was evil and they werent.

on the other hand the bag could b the kbd, the forge could only b because there were 3 walls and the last part could be a massive figment of my imagion. either way i say its interesting

Wow something awesome just happened!!!!

I was plodding around in game and I saw a jagex mod (Sara I think) and I starting begging her to tell me when the dragonkin line would get expanded, and we all know how jmods never say anything interesting, but this said "Ok fine. Now listen: Alone I am in the ravaged land, until my higher kin deem the end is nigh." I was creeped out, to say the least! I mean since when do jmods say stuff like that??

What do you think Mod Sara meant??

really curious, mods have never said anything like that to me before!

I'm back on the forums! Older, wiser, and...

...still a noob...

First: great thread!

I have a theory about Gielinor, much linked to the repeting history in the Wheel of Time series (by Robert Jordan). What if Guthix wasn't the first to discover this plane, and the gods before him found the world, and gods before them and so on...

Where the dragonkin come in, is at the beginning. If they are the first inhabitants of Gielinor, it would explain why they got such strong connections with the plane (as said in the main post under 'True name'. This only works if they are the Elder-dragons).

Then when a god finds the plane, and makes all kinds of things with the Stone of Jas (which may have been some relic of the dragonkin or the center of the universe or so). As the god wars break out, the gods leave. Then some time later, the godsword reappears! As more godwars follow, the dragonkin leave in anticipation of the cleansing of their world (by a Guthix-equivalent. The dragonkin aren't strong enough, perhaps?). After that, they return to their home plane. Last time they fled, they went to Frenaskrae, and gave the Mahjarrat knowledge of this plane and the dragon weapons. Then in the First Age, they reappeared! and were seen as strangers. That fits a bit, i hope?

So, we might be on the verge of a new god war, during which the dragonkin will try to change the wheel of time to own this plane once and for all...

IMPORTANT NOTE: I have no evidence for this! it's just a theory! But i hope you enjoy it.

This has probably already been mentioned, but what about the mahjarat all going north? I always presumed this was to do with the return of Zaros but what if it's actually to do with the return of the dragonkin? Or perhaps zaros will lead the dragonkin back to gielinor? Maybe he's got them on his side? This brings in all sorts of interesting stuff about who actually is a mahjarat, for example Vanakka, the Genie and the Oracle all have the same red markings on their faces as Lucien.

And just an obscure theory here, maybe the reference in the KBD's letter to dragons being rivers flowing from a single mountain refers to dragons' power flowing from the stone of jas? Or perhaps it refers to some kind of life-giving water flowing through the channel shown in the picture of the dragon anvils in the ancient cavern?

That, to me, seems to be the King Black Dragon. He sits alone in the wilderness (which was ravaged by the God Wars), until his higher kin, the dragonkin, deem that the end is near and that he gets to live out is true purpose (whatever that is; I'm sure its unpleasant).

About the eastern lands, I remember reading in a letter to the person in phasymatys who sells the karil's bolt racks that there is a huge empire to the east where all the barrows armours came from. Perhaps this is where the icyenes come from and that is why the queen took over morytania, or perhaps this is where the dragonkin now reside? Perhaps this is why morytania stinks of dragon poo, because it has wafted over from this empire to the east? It would also tie in with the points of the compass metaphor in the KBD's letter.

Also, there was the mysterious man who gave the barrows brothers their armours and who stood over them whenever they fought and is supposed to have killed them by weakening them or something, I think I remember hearing that he was Sliske, who appears to be in the sewers underneath draynor and is a mahjarat. According to my theory that the dragonkin and mahjarat are related this would prove that the dragonkin were in possession of the material which made barrows armours and that they therefore came from, or atleast resided in at one point, the empire to the east.

Awesome thread, i just registered for this thread! =D>

I think it only says the dragonkin never revealed the secrets of how dragon items were made, it could have been the gods or the dragonkin.

Another good point is that

Why if maharrat (spelling) wich they are zaros followers are related to dragonkin wich are supposed to be guthix followers or something? Isn't that unbalancing?

Plus it has been stated, just don't remember where, that guthix would destroy this world if another war was started right? KBD said something i couldn't fully understand in postbag 5,maybe dragonkin are trying to get the stone of Jas from where the power to create the world came from?.

PS:try finding any connection in maharrat/dragonkin with the staff of armadyl since new quest will also be related to it and Lucien is a follower of Zaros and he is also one of the last maharrats if that helps in any way.

I think the opinion of Tip.iter before me wasn't completely true since as far as I am concerned Lucien was one of the Mahjarrat participating in the attack on Zaros's castle.

And to Your article, great job =D> You realised one thing which I would like to make a bit longer. I am as sure of it as in my opinion we may be.

As it's been spotted before, Bob the Jagex Cat was Robert the Strong during the earlier Ages. We know that in his previous life Bob fought Dragonkin. But who is Bob? According to what I read, In one of the possible dialogues he says "In fact, I am Zar...".In some other,he says anti-Zamorak sentences to the player's cat. It can, but doesn't have to, imply he is Zaros in fact.

As one of the readers said, the Dragonkin don't have to be evil actually. And if Bob(and at the same time Robert the Strong) is actually the reincarnation of Zaros The Empty Lord, The True God of Evil, can that imply that Dragonkin weren't evil? Maybe that was Robert who wanted just to make up his own business? Could it be that Dragonkin are in fact the Elder Dragons(as they created all of them) and Zaros wanted to destroy Gielinor? But how does it connect to The Godstaff of Armadyl? And what were Dragonkin trying to achieve when their experiments went wrong and mithril dragons were created? I suppose we can find out about it on Wednesday, earlier would be nice tho ;)

In hope I was helpful,
