Chaosheero
I normally quite enjoy and have fun doing most of the quests here on runescape. However there is one quest that stands out as perhaps the most annoying and frustating one I have ever done. :wall: Underground pass seems to have been designed to drive us all batty, especially those of us who are unprepared for the final fight. Not only are we running through a seemingly never ending cave while dodging multiple traps and enemys, solving puzzles and such along the way, but there is a voice. That voice....Now, normally one is not affected by some text scrolling onto the bottom of the screen, but when it is the only thing you are reading there besides the "You fail the agility obstacle" message, it tends to affect you in a strange way, I found myself yelling out, "PRAISE LORD ZAMORAK!" Which was quite awkward when my parents heard me. After you manage through all the obstacles you are pitted against a seemingly easy boss fight, just throw the doll into the well, no biggy right? Nope. The endless tendrils of pain made the seemingly easy length somewhat difficult, even hitting high damage through protect from magic. I made it. Phew. That wasn't the only scary sight as I've been saving the best for last; the spiders. I'm glad I never went into HD while venturing into that cave as I'm sure I would have nightmares as I've heard many do. By my description of that cave of hell, you must be certain that yes, it feels incredible finishing off that demon Iban.
Ravenkana
What!?! By the Chaos gods, you have yet to know what madness truly is! When the voices do not merely whisper, but shout at you, THAN you may yet experience TRUE madness. When the blessed taint twists and warps your mortal coil, making you into a twisted parody of your former self, than you ARE TRULY mad, for at last the mighty gods have favored you! PRAISE THE RAVEN GOD! LONG REIGN TZEENCH, THE CHANGER OF WAYS!! HURRAY, HURRAY, I'VE FOUND A SPOON!!! Eh, the quest was annoying, true. And the voice was quite creepy, you're right. But it also gave me a laugh; I examined an agility pipe and, right after, I got the message "I will devour your soul." I assumed it was the new description for the pipe and was quite amused for all of thirty seconds. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?
compfreak847
It's supposed to be a tough, scary quest. Jagex does a good job with visuals\music\messages to build the mood. I really liked that questMe too, and, unfortunately, I don't believe we'll see another like it ever again. With the way Jagex's marketing is going, I don't think such a quest would fit their current bill. Too scary for the wee ones. jimmyjames227
The underground pass is so fun. You shouted PRAISE LORD ZAMORAK!! if you did you should really see a doctor... Write a complaint right to jagex. I think underground pass is meant to tax you mentaly. It took my 2 hours and I didnt go insane and the final doll/magic thing didnt damage me!!! meb
Doing UP at a low level is the most fun I've ever had while doing a quest... It's challenging and the atmosphere is awsome. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. SupportMage
Don't play the music with it if you're trying to avoid the creepy feeling. "Intrepid" is one of the most depressing musics there is and the pass knows it. It still ruled beating it at 63, though : Still alive, still alive. Randox
I dont even rember the fight. I was busy chaining my computer to my desk so I didn't throw it out the window in blind rage when I failed the [bleep]ing bridge for the god damn [bleep]ing 10th [bleep]ing time. That and I forget the spade half the time and run out of arrows the other half. I once brought 10 arrows, they all failed. I walked back to a [bleep]ing bank and get like 30 more. I get back and lo and behold it works the first bloody time. Then I did regicide. And I had to cross that god forsaken path to the castle in the middel of that ridiculusly large large cave TWICE! The first was ok, but the second, oh no. I failed 4 [bleep]ing times. I failed twice in a row! I got over 3 of the gaps and failed the fourth! I was pissed off! The underground pass and Regicide quests should not be approched by anyone not on valium or happy pills. [bleep] I hate that quest. Almost as much as I hate contact, the only quest I have attempted only to be repetedly defeated. [bleep] contact too! Note: This is not representative of my personality. The above language comes from hours of frustration at teh hands of three quests. The only other quest to cause even close to this much frustration has been DT and I have the sense to take a month off that quest when ever I screw up. There is a difference between difficult and plain annoying. DT is difficult. MM is difficult. Underground pass is a god damn supersized pain in the [bleep]ing [wagon]. The frustration I felt in the underground pass is comerable to the frustration people feel doing one small favor magnified by 10 orders of magnitude because it is needlessly frustrating. Rather than make a hard quest, they made one where people give up to save their sanity. Again note. I actualy like the underground pass. It's a work of art. It only those [bleep]ing maze trails with those gaps that get me because they take so long to try again. II hate those [bleep]ing bridges. They can burn in hell. Aside from that I do think was was meant to be mentaly taxing. And I was not joking when I said chain comp to desk. I actualy got my laptop lock and put the key in another room. BloodArgon
Iv done regicide on another account (which is banned) and it was hell. The pass is the sole reason I havnt done regicide yet, at level 122. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th
Alg
That was one of the best quests that they've made. That and Mourning's Ends II. You probably do need a bit of help if you really yelled that out though. I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
Zierro
Haha, "Cave of Hell". Nice way to put it and I agree - that quest was a toughie but I still loved it. It's always fun to be put up to a challenge.
Fairness
Damn, is that quest challenging! Seriously, I was thinking the same. That quest isn't hard - unless you count keeping your sanity a difficulty. Even in Regicide, the traps that almost got me out of food were no difficulty, what with the hopping trays of spit-roastable food waiting on the other side. Now that I'm over those two stupid quests though, I can safely be king [bleep] and laugh at: the spiders. I'm glad I never went into HD while venturing into that cave as I'm sure I would have nightmares as I've heard many do. I did feel a little uneasy killing all those rabbits, but at least I didn't discard the meat, which made up for it. You're being watched.

I don't really need help....Strangely I felt completely normal after finishing the quest. Regicide, I can't wait to start that one. Not so much for the quest, but the reward. The_Gabe
I might be wierd, but I enjoy going through underground pass :? The quest wasn't too bad either, just long. \ Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy. doomdfence
Haha wait till you do Mournings End Part II. I failed like 50 times on the hand hold thingies going across the wall...And it was last quest to do too so i stayed at it for about 3-4 hours. That was just last night too, my second time doing it (other acc got banned). There are some more annoying quests than Underground pass out there. Underground pass is probably in the top 10 though. Hernet0
That quest ranks high in Jagex's list of quests, difficulty and AWSOMENESS wise. That quest was very hard for me being only lvl 53 at the time I did it but it was fun, well thought out, hard, and really had the quest like feel.
