Firefox FTW. I've really taken to it since IE gave up showing YouTube videos. I've used Safari a bit though before and that's okay.

 

 

 

I hold quite a soft spot for Google Chrome too. Not because it's a particularly amazing browser but I like it and it can handle Runescape and Tip it and even another tab! Whereas with my fail computer, Firefox only usually manages the first two. Still since Chrome is in beta it's not perfect, but it's alright.

I remember when this poll was cast the first time (back when the poll feature was still relatively new) it had over 70% of votes cast for Internet Explorer.

Has anyone ever actually tried to get rid of IE? I can't seem to :x It's telling me it's removed from my computer, but somehow sneaks back on after every restart...

 

 

 

Internet Explorer is encoded into the system. It's just a shell for the regular Explorer. Technically you could access the internet with "My Computer" by putting an URL in the adress bar. Just set another browser as default browser and it should do the trick.

I wonder why not Chrome or Safari had their own options? Netscape is so old and outdated that it should just count as others or be grouped together with Firefox under a Mozilla category.

 

 

 

In any case, I use Mozilla for its improved security, correctly displays web pages after W3C standards and recommendations (which Opera and IE fails to comply with), open source and, well, out of plain old habit. Internet Explorer is simply too slow, like many of the other products of Microsoft - which I find strange, since most of IE is loaded upon system start as part of Windows (EXPLORER[Caution: Executable File]).

Strange, why is Google Chrome not an option? It would be interesting to compare Firefox to Chrome. Anyway, for that reason, I voted 'other'.

My bro has installed firefox, but I always use IE.

 

Why?

 

 

 

IE loads faster

 

IE runs runescape (firefox doesnt for me)

 

Firefox makes a lot of sites look strange (buttons over each other, etc)
