Xerowingsx5k
Okay guys, we all know firemaking is a pretty plain skill. I have a few ideas that may spruce it up. Colored Fires: To make a colored fire, you need a spell called Enchant Wood (lv 25) that should cost 1 cosmic rune and 1 fire rune. Using this spell on any log produces a selectable (by right clicking) color firewood - White, Black, Red, Orange, Gold, Green, Blue, or Purple. Higher level logs have a different fire effect when enchanted. Normal logs: Default fire animation Oak Logs: Emites Rings of Fire above the burning logs. Willow Logs: Emites a bouncing ball of fire. Maple Logs: Fire is in the form of a dancing imp. Yew Logs: Fire is twice as large. Magic Logs: Normal looking fire but constantly emites levelup fireworks. Pyrotechnics: Use a knife on a log and craft a stunt torch (3) or a firey baton (1). You may enchant a color to the torch/baton. Higher level wood used to make the torch/baton has the following effects: Normal: Just a nice fire. Oak: Emites rings of fires. Willow: Emites triangles of fire. Maple: Firey dancing imps jump out from the torch. Yew: Large torch fire. Magic: Emites sparkles from the fire. Torch tricks:] Setting the torch on fire provides 1x firemaking xp compared to the logs. Triple torch juggle - Self explanatory. Torch Pass - Toss the torch to a fellow player without any equipment in his shield side. Ignite web - Burns away webs. Dragon's Flame - Requires Pyro's Brandy from the Al Kharid Pyro (New guy? ) Each flame uses 1/4th of the Brandy. You drink the Brandy and shoot a mist from your mouth the create the flame. Fire writing - Write your words with fire. Clicking on this option takes you to a typing screen. Type down what you want (Small character limit) and your character will write it out in fire (Each character disapears in 3 seconds.). Baton tricks: Setting the baton on fire provides 3x firemaking Xp compared to the log. Helicopter - Spinning the torch horizontally up above your head and bringing it down to your torso. It's hard to explain but it's doable. Baton Toss - Throw the baton into the air and catching it. Wheel around - Spins the torch vertically around your body, to the other arm, and back. Fire Cyclone - Character does Helicopter and spits 1/2th Pyro's Brandy into the air, creating a fire cyclone. Pyro's Dance - Randomizes the above tricks into a dance and finishes with a Fire Cyclone. Both Torch and Baton burn away after 5 minutes of use. Comments? More pyro ideas? Pretty much what 99% of my fires are for besides cooking. the 1% is just to change the scenery a bit. Xerowingsx5k
when you come up with ideas for fun they are meaningless but have no cons.....so I'm all for it *shrug* Lol I dunno.. I've given up on ideas on what we "NEED"... they just cause more arguments. These ideas just add more fun into the game to make up for its lack of everything else. Proud 'The' Guardian KnightCmb F126 - P137 | 99/99 HP | 99/99 Str | 99/99 Atk | 99/99 Def | 99 Range | 99/99 Magic | 99/99 Prayer | 95/99 Summoninghttp://www.theclanrs.com/

buzz
Nice fun idea, but unless you got say double xp over the normal amount you get for burning a log, I cant image there would be much point for it, although, it would be nice to use for parties and events :D Now, if you got a nice high xp bonus for burning the logs once you've cast that new spell on them (magic xp as well as fm is nice idea), and if you can cast over the whole inv of logs before you drop/burn, it might be another way of training for those people who can afford to buy a large amount of cosmics. Firemaking is a redundant skill now, the only real use it has is a an easy total upper, and for burning yew/magic pyre logs at morton if you want fine cloth for splitbark. Unlike mining and smithing, woodcutting used to be for leveling firemaking, but with fletching being as profitable as it is, I'd much rather cut logs, and fletch, and make some money from my time, than burn logs for skills. The only use of FM I can think of at the moment barring for shades, is to get ash to use with tarromin, as its much better than using limps. limpxbizkid
hmm, you've thought this out pretty well. i like what you got so far. maybe throw in fire obsticles for agility (ring of fire....yeah, thats all i got) Pyro's Wine from the Al Kharid Pyro (New guy? ) although a pyro living in a place with nothing to burn... btw, by wine you ment like fortified wine to the point where its the equivelant of absinth? (or a ye olde equivelant of absinth, no idea if its been around for 400 years old :? )
den160593
Ye that would make firemaking funner, you could have a huge bonfire when you got a level, instead of having a drop party. JaGeX had better consider this, simple nothing fancy but fun. Great idea Xerowingsx5k

username388
I like that idea. Firemaking isn't much fun to train, and that would just be cool to juggle fire and stuff.

Wine: No  Pyro's rum sound good? Sorry, I've always thought wine was flammable but i never got the chance to try and burn it. I'll update it. I think Brandy would be better. Wine: No  is it possible to distill wine more than once? i you can then it is possible. Wine is 12%. If you distilled it twice you would have 24%, but after one more distillation you could have ~50% so then it would be flammable I guess. I was referring to normal drinking wine I guess; if you really tried you could get wine to be flammable.

Diego
Ill post it for you :) So far 20 people said they support some of them are from this thread but only the ones that have theyre username on their siggy this dude also came up with a suggestion for fireworks, here it is: ok off the top of my head a suggestion for fire works 1 you need a fuse 2 you need black powder 3 you need a flamable powder to make the color (i am not a pyrotecnic or a chemest so i cant tell what makes what color) 4 you need paper to wrap it all together 5 (optional) a mortor to shoot it in the sky (mortor is like a cannon people can see it but can not take it a person can click on it but there only option is to watch fire works. the person who sets the mortor up can set time of day weather season to enhance the fire works the times would be day sun rise sun set and night for son rise those who sit on the west side get glair from the sun durring the fire works but also get mor colors to enhance the show while people on the west side get some colors in the sky but not as dramatic and non if cloudy is not set but they dont get glair.) 6 (optional)stick to make bottle rockets 7 (optional but not when used for a bottle rocket) bottle blows up and shatters glass flys every where when not a bottle rocket also hurts you alot if done with out the stick in 8 (optional) decoration mainly for ground fireworks like snakes bees and knights on horses (middle age version of the tank) if you are to close to a fire work when it goes off you can be hurt fire works can not be set in the wild because they can be used as a trap spectators are warned like going in the wild that harm will come if they come to close to the firework and only one set can be set up at a time so people dont start setting them up as traps they can not be set up in tight spaces in the damage will only happen if you are a spectator with in once space from the fire work if u set them up you have to be 5 spaces away. back to the mortor it can be set up in diffrant areas and shows diffrant back drops like the castle of varrock in varrock or the foutin there can not the only place it can be set up in a cave is keldagrim and the statue is shown in the back drop mage guild in yannel fally castle in fally gnome tree in gnome strong hold trees in any forest Written by Lord Sam M Some guy also said that you could make pyrotechnics but instead of fire with smoke, for example: doing smoke letters instead of fire letters

MasterOfThePuppets
I'd support it. The only problem is cosmics can be prohibitively expensive. Sounds great though.
