The True World Map? Post your findings! [Updated 2014]

Recommended Posts

I understand how this discussion could be important to the thread, however please keep this rule in mind:

1.1 - Breaking or encouraging others to break any of Jagex's rules

This includes but is not limited to:

  •
  • Discussing how to cheat, hack, or otherwise manipulate the game.

Explain how we are discussing HOW TO do that? I was merely asking for pictures of results.

There is a quest that uses an instanced Ess Mine. "Wanted!"

If you're just pafting randomly it happens WAY too often to be a random quest instance, and there are actually people/bots mining there if you run around.

Quick way of checking if an area is instanced is to look at the co-ords given by the dev console. If it changes dramatically every time you teleport in (at least in the case of Dungeoneering) then it's instanced. The Essence Mine is unlikely to be instanced seeing as multiple people use it at a time.

Yes except messing with the client is technically illegal, and at the very least against Jagex rules. Also that is only partially correct, some places that have pretty static coordinates have turned out to be PA's

Um, pressing opening the dev console is illegal now? You just press a key on your keyboard and put in getcampos...

You can do that on a regular account? must be new, last I knew coordinates were Jmod only which could only be unlocked on special clients

It seems to be not overly old, even though I didn't know about it until recently.

I was told it was used as numbers you could send with bug reports to "show" Jagex the area of a bug.

Can be done on all accounts.

Couldn't that green strip of land be a balloon crash site? Not sure as I didn't crash it the last time I did the quest and the first time was years ago.

Isn't the Freaky Forester random in a circular clearing surrounded by trees? It's been a while since I did it.

f2punitedfcbanner_zpsf83da077.png

THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P.

So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...

Just to give this a response:

Ellac did not accuse anyone of discussing how to do this stuff; he(?) simply posted to remind people of the rule BEFORE it drifted into such discussion. The idea being to avoid a later issue on the topic and refresh peoples memories so they don't accidentally break a rule.

^pink one is the body altar

The one southeast of chickens lair is from Salt in the Wound, the chamber where you put you arm in the rock and waves of stuff comes to be killed.

Death PA.

deathpa.png

I didnt bring an orb of occulus but theres a random cliff up there as well, perhaps one of you can find the hard copy of this.

Also as an added bonus, heres what happens if you mess with the game to think your in multiple PA's at once.

2floorstylesdungeoneeri.png

dungeoneeringnoclip.png

In this picture the game doesnt know which dungeon style im in so it loads both of them and the floors dont match up properly either. Perhaps this can be useful information if you are interested in how PA's work.

The Old frog random event to be precise, the new one is in a small cave to the west of this one.
