The True World Map? Post your findings! [Updated 2014]

The True World Map has been updated, this map is generated after the PolyPore Dungeon came out.

So those are the separate levels of the map, right?

Which one? The north (underground) or south (mainland)?

 

Or are the two parts totally separate now? It was my understanding that the entire world was one plane. Main world was lvl0, and there were "upstairs" up to 3-4 levels above it

The Levels indicate the Height-levels.

 

The underground and the worldmap is just one map. The dungeons, cutscenes etc. are north and the worldmap are south.

The new interface alpha has a huge minimap which allows you to see quite far away. Here you can see Waterbirth dungeon from Pyramid Plunder.

Could someone check if you can actually see the dungeon in HTML5 beta (it doesn't work for me) with the increased draw distance? This is the sixth room of Pyramid Plunder so you need 71 thieving (possibly less if the draw distance is large enough).

That is the html5 draw distance, so no.

I manged to render a part of the true map of the RuneScape 731 build (somewhere in early 2012 i believe) a month ago. The colors are inuccarate due to the map render. You can see some new arena's in this map such as the Burthope beginning cutscene place, the new Tzhaar and some new dung arena's (Fremenik Sega's?)

No, the colors for most areas are still way off if you invert the colors.

I've found a map renderer from an "Not Saft to Talk" website that renders it from the cache. It was just an Java applet that was made for that kind of use.

Coming back to RS, and wow HTML5 and the new minimap distance just made this way easier.  Gonna be checking out a bunch of areas.

Where is everyone suddenly getting these totally complete maps...so awesome to get confirmed all the things we saw ingame with limited draw distance when this thread started out.

 

I didn't know the deep floors of Daemonheim moved to such interesting places.

Man once the beta goes live they are going to majorly need to spread things out:

That's still Java I haven't checked with full HTML5 draw distance.  Like it's at a point now where it really kills immersion for newer players since you can't -not- see this.  Before, we needed an orb of oculus or massive resize screen to see this.

 

Edit: they seem to have already taken care of it.  This is HTML5, I think they have it so only the dungeons you are inside will show up both in game and on the minimap.77f756917baf245cc2a3f9017b8b29d5.png

Those 'duel arena and castle wars instances' aren't instances (they're too big, for one). I bet they just wanted to preserve the original layouts after they graphically updated those areas.

 

Seeing some things on the map that aren't there, too. Not sure why.

Trying to find a way to see the POH instance storage here:

Only accessible place to me atm is the blast furnace since everywhere else is quest and/or discontinued, and I'm pretty sure the TT instances are loaded somewhere else so I couldn't orb from there.

 

Water mill cellar is the quest version so if anyone has yet to do it...have fun.

Isn't that cellar instanced in the quest.

I feel like you're right, would make sense since POH is so close there's no way that's where you're actually teleported to. Can see the south area from Blast furnace though.

 

CookMePlox any way to get a Dec 2013 version?

Does GC stand for Garbage Collection as in Jagex telling each other not to put any areas in these locations since they are used for some java related purpose?

 

And I guess those hand drawn warnings do actually appear on the minimap:
