No? Ok, let me give you just a little hint.

 

 

 

Got it? Good. I dislike reading stuff where every other line is blank space, where people use returns as punctuation instead of periods. If you have another thought, put it on the next line, but only press return once. Unless you're making a completely different thought, or paragraph. Go ahead, then put two returns. Anything other than that is superfluous. There is a handy "preview" button - please press this before posting. Then you can actually see if you pressed return too many times.

I have to disagree with you, your rant seems pointless.

I have to agree with reply1, with everything that he's saying. Although I do agree with your quotes point, that sometimes irks me

I agree with reply2 - I hate it when people do this. I also thought about your third point, how color and size sometimes need to be removed, and yes, that upsets me too

That thing about color - there's this great add-on you can get from this one company that takes it all away. You should consider it sometime.

That's right - I've tried that, and its great. Also, I have to disagree with reply2 - it doesn't make sense when this happens

If you're going to quote someone, remove all the stuff you're not responding to. Also, take it by a point by point basis. It upsets me when you have to scroll through everyone's text twice, because someone has another point they'd like to add on, which happens to be about 2 lines in the last person's entry. It takes 2 seconds to delete text, but about 3 minutes to figure out what the hell they're trying quote.

 

 

 

don't use this color, ever, either. There's no use for it. Same goes with this font size. I don't appreciate copying and pasting text into notepad to see what you've said.If you have to emphasize something, usually bold works! you don't have to make yourself big to be heard.

I agree with most of your post, but not so much with the quoting problem. It really helps for people that come in late, so to speak. It lets you see where the conversation has been going. It would be helpful if people would hide their posts, though.

I don't mind large font/color/small font as long as it isn't everywhere (and in the case of small font impossible to read) but the chain quotes annoy me too. Quoting pictures is terrible as well. The worst part is if you are going to do it people don't even take the time just to highlight it and press the hide button at the top of the page. So simple but people just leave the huge thing on the page.

Not when those people are trying to read through the entire thread - in which case, it doesn't help at all.

 

In that case, it almost makes you want to skip over what they're trying to say, because it's a nightmare to decipher. Especially when the block of text they're quoting is at least 5 or 6 lines, or 2 or more paragraphs. Break it up, otherwise your well-thought out, respectful post ends up in a [cabbage] heap.

I wholeheartedly agree. Nobody wants to read a post, especially a long one, that is written in random colors. The spelling and grammar on here are atrocious as well.

 

I considered creating a rant about these issues earlier today, but decided against it. Thanks for picking up my slack. :

Its annoying if someone writes in many different colours and become pretty hard to read.. As for spelling, its not usually the fault of the poster, they either do not realise they sound like a 2 week old baby or they are foreign and cannot speak/type english very well..

I agree. Except for the quote chain - I like to be able to read the whole conversation without having to page back to who-knows-where.
