hihihi727
I've turned down offers of $1500-3000 before for this account we'd certainly be talking five figures (and I probably wouldn't go south of $50,000 if it were somebody I didn't know). you sir, are an idiot :( Wow your kidding right? 3000$???? i would sell mine for like 20$ i guess... if i start playing runescape again it probably won't be on my main because its getting boring i would probably start over on a new account. I play runescape solely for the fun i have when i play, not because of the "respect" i will get from doing boring things. Otherwise i would just play on a private server so i can have 99 in all skills and get party hats from killing hill giants... although i guess some people consider being able to show off having high skills "fun" er yeah i sort of understand i just don't think its worth the years i would waste
mrph3r
Well, if i waste several years of my life on it, I want more than a couple hundred bucks to show for a complete trashing of my character (which as I outlined below, has been training with several restrictions for several years). Cpchris
I would not sell my account. Imagine you quit the game. Two months later a friend contacts you and says "dude who plays on your old name now?" They've totally ruined the repuation you built for yourself. I know some people would say "so who cares I don't play anymore" But I wouldn't like that. I don't want my name associated with things I wouldn't do. I want to keep my account(s) so that if I ever decide to go ingame for whatever reason I have that option and will still have the account/name that I started with. Its been through so much with me. Forum Modship on the RS forums for 2 years and here at TIF for a few months. My cat guide, my friends, the time spent and so much more. I would feel cheated if someone else was walking around in Runescape with my account. i feel the same way. I don't see myself quitting anytime in the next 6 months, but im 100% positive that I'm not giving my account away or ruining it. I'm sure even when i do "quit", ill stop by occasionally to see whats up.

NotoriousPSC
I wouldn't sell my account for anything really. I have a lotta good memories with it. I like to think one day I'll forget about my account, and then come back to it one day and start playing it again after 5 or 6 years. Star_Fox
nothing. its not even my account. but in terms of value, i'd say each year of playing would be like $500.
Lap
I quit in 05, however I didn't give my account away, since I don't want someone else using something I worked for. 4 years later I'm glad I kept it. I would sell my account for $1000 if offered, but not less. 45,657th to 99 Range 29/09/09 , 41,018th to 99 Mage 13/11/09__________________
Dazzuh
It's funny how while your playing the game you feel that you couldn't put a value on your account, it's priceless because of all the time you put into it and carry on to do so. I felt the same, but now since i've stopped playing i'd quite happily take £80 for mine and have a good night out. Currently not active on RuneScape. TTanT
My main account is my second identity. Selling it would feel like I was betraying myself. My alts? nerdboyxxx
Wow, I'm pretty sure I posted in this like 10 pages in or something so I'll do another post altogether. My beautiful, precious account. Yes, I have quit many times before, but since 2008 I've been playing with regret. I wasted 2-3 years of runescape time because I "quit" the game :( Anyway, would I sell it? No. Because, I'll probably never quit. Retire, yes, but not quit. What's the difference? Quitting is, in my mind, deserting the game for good. Retiring, however, is forcefully cutting down playtime drastically to fulfill commitments in real life such as family, sports, etc. I mean, I have played Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, Eve Online, and Lord of the Rings Online to name just a few of the "best" MMO's on the market according to the majority of gamers. Yet, I have stuck with the humble Runescape. In summation, my account is worth the total cost of all the current MMO's on the market. 3 Years total cost of other games. Because, the only way I'm selling this account is if I can get back all the money I wasted on other games :P
Johannas
Realistically i'm probably not going to be playing in 10 years - or maybe i am? So i'd have to be silly not to accept something that's going to help me in the long run IRL.... Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!
Elidast
My old nub char from rsc with Bunny ears/scythe etc, $500 and i'd take it (I've seen higher offers for lower levels with ears :S)
dragon246665
Heck, I would pay someone to take my account, but only if they could wipe my memory of having ever played runescape. Not because I dislike runescape but because the best times I ever had on runescape were back when I was just starting.

joey11223
unless I was offered something ridiculously high like £100k I wouldn't sell it. I don't think of it as a job..I can't really put a monetary value on the time I've spent enjoying the game. Putting a price on it almost makes it seem like a chore. Putting a value of say £200 on my account would be similar to someone asking me to value the relationship with one of my friends in monetary terms, it just can't be done. My account is priceless to me, although as I said I would accept a life changing sum..

I don't have any RL friends that play anymore, so moving on would not be difficult. I'd take the money and play some real world grand exchange with it.
