Levels of Respect

It would seem as I gained level 100, more and more people started being friendly to me and treating me with more respect.

 

 

 

Has anyone else noticed this? I don't understand why people seem to treat lower levels any different than higher levels. They are the same people so why treat them differently? :|

Because, as the Internet goes; anyone higher than you is a no lifer, anyone lower than you is a noob.

 

 

 

But seriously, I think higher leveled people think that they should talk to people close to their level because they think that those around them know more and have more to talk about.

No, I'm treated like a robot. People are too shy to ever since I got to about 120 combat. I guess it's just the mentality they have that "High levels are mean to low levels so why bother?". But seriously, I made many more friends as a level 80 than I have in the past two years.

People don't talk to me usually. Only thing they do is ask me questions about how I got 99 farming. Most of the times I don't mind it and just answer but sometimes it's kinda annoying :-#

well as you can see my signatures i have a level 70 and a level 100, on my level 100 i wear full dragon, i've had upto 20, no lie, people following me at one stage on my level 70 i have upto 20 people ignore me each day when i say hi to them, where i train the monster drops ranars i said hi to a level 116, no answer 5 mins later want my ranars? i say, purple trade text

 

a lot of people take me for a joke and i'm a noob for not having any decent skills on it, i already have 1 account with skills so i see know point in having 2 accounts with average skills

I dont mind the level ... it happens more often to find someone nice to talk with and he is -30 , -40 even more to me , and some 130 lvls that dont know how to play ... and I wonder how they got to the levels they have ... just grinding not knowing any other methods .. they have done quests and ask questions like "where do I get silverlight" for example ...

It keeps getting worse too. Sorry to be presumptuous but if you are level 130+ then you probably have a good attention span and enough intelligence to plan out how you'd get that strong. That's how things used to be, but combat has no correlation with intellect anymore. The worst part is when they bring up their stats and act like their levels make them superior to you, despite their huge lack of eloquence.

I am not discriminating against lower levels, because a lot of them are very mature, I am simply saying that there is a higher chance of a higher-level being older, rather than a lower-level.

This certainley used to be the case for me, but as Zierro says people generally don't speak to me all that often simply because I'm 127. The most conversations I have with lower level people is when I summon a titan to go dking/slaying in the CT with, it seems now the higher your summon, the more respect you seem to gain too.

 

Another big factor is the gear/clothes that you wear, I recently sold my bandos and dfs and I got a lot less lower levels talking to me.

i really don't want to have a say in this since i'm lvl 137 and still treated like crap. :lol: anyways, i dont separate any lower lvls then any higher lvls because i know that someday the lower lvls become high lvls and get the same respect they've given.

that reminds me i was at flesh crawlers training my level 70 and this level 68 comes around in rune plate legs scim and amulet half hp so im like hey wants some food so i gave him my last 3 cakes so i try to give him a few pointers saying if you train here each rune you can buy somethign decent to help you (you get around 50-100k per run) like a granite helmet and i said until your 60 qatk probably buy a brine sabre they are slightly better than rune scim but cost 50kish

 

 

 

next minute he says dont talk to me about weapons and armour, come back when your maxed melee lvl 128 and he logs so im like ok?

 

then 5 minutes later hey noob! from a lvl 128 see you think your all good telling me what to do you noob go get a fire cape and im like i was just trying to help and at the same time i was getting called poor from a lvl 116, i dont think 2.5m is bad for a lvl 70 so im like if you wanna see how poor my other accoutn is go to ge ill show you, it has full drag and bandos and 99 str, sounds like a my main is zezima type thign right? i said look him up dmt1234...he looks up dmt_1234 my old mage pure your only 47 mage or what ever it was and im like no. DMT1234 no spaces, this 116 had rune legs neitz whip defender and torso. nothing special so he goes brign him here

ive noticed changes to. more people sorta respect me now that im a higerish level but i made a lot more fiends when i was a low level. i think its because when your a low level you just dont sit there and grind away as much as you do when your a low level.

It also depends if you're on an f2p or p2p world. (most) P2p's act a little more mature in my opinion.

 

Also the way you behave plays a role.

Since i started playing again I've gained 4 friends in 6 months. (Removed all my old friends, so that is all i have :()

I have a very small list, I wont add someone over a 5 minute talk we just had. (I talk to more people in my clan than anything)

DMT is DiMetholTriptimine it's the chemical that makes you dream and can be obtained from a plant it makes you hallucinate it doesnt happen eveeryday since it's not as common as to say known thing as your name but normally it's through a PM 'hey you ever tried dmt?' 'Do you know what dmt is?' 'What's your name mean?', it's my initials and even though i'm not the richest person around i have full dragon and bandos and yes i get that problem, prove it's yours! or there all borrowed! of a lower level and what's price of D full can i pc it? the ge is 3 squares away.... and does get rather annoying at times

You should try joining a clan chat. That way you don't have to talk all the time to keep the conversation going and the people in there are fun too (most of the time) :)

I noticed that i'm rather unfriendly against higher levels. Not because they are noobs or anything else for being higher, I just think lower levels need my help more than those guys who know a lot about the game already.

 

 

 

Also funny, I borrow Carl Dublin's Dragon Platebody and a level 76 said Woah! Nice platebody you got there, impressive! while a 120 approached me and said Lol u noob your dplate fails it sucks L why even get one.

 

 

 

Higher levels are arrogant, childish and stupid. And i'm proud to be one of them L
