Italian5kamikaze
Just got my first task of them. What should my set up be and where do I kill them at in the GWD? Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

Miner52289
prayer gear in zamorak's area Only if your agility is less than 70. If it's 70+ take a sara item and a zammy item and head to Saradomin's Encampment. Most of the time there's 2 spiritual mages busy attacking the werewolf there allowing you free hits on them. Bring like 4 prayer pots and slayer helm and rest prayer gear (Whip + Falador Shield) to attack the third mage in the area. Lets_3ekout
Kill zammy mages, always. That's what I use (before 99 str anyway). Note: Don't have to bring any type of healing or titan scrolls. I was practicing prayer flashing and I fail at it. Lol. The best mages to kill are the 3 outside Zammy boss room, you can attack all 3, put prayer on and auto retaliate does the rest of the work. Only if your agility is less than 70. If it's 70+ take a sara item and a zammy item and head to Saradomin's Encampment. Sara mages have high def and the prayer pot cost is negligible when compared to d boot drops. zotto
I usually need only 4 prayer pots per spiritual mage task and I usually take 5 or 6 (76 prayer, holy wrench). Then 2 super att and str. Proselyte. As a zammy item I just take unholy symbol. Prayer bonus. I don't have any other zammy items. Something to tele. Don't bother with an enchanted gem because there is a kill counter in GWD. toast647
I can kill 50 zammy spirit mages/dose of pure set. So 1 pure set and like 5 ppots and you're good. You don't need a whole inventory of them like above. Don't need slayer gem because of the kill count thing Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
ilovecardj
Over the course of 99 slayer I did some testing, I gaIned far more d boots with OUT wealth then I did with. my rate over like 4k mages without was like over 1/100, and 4k mages without wealth was like 1/80. Use zerker or warrior ring My personal unfounded opinion is boots are not on the rare wheel, but on a seperate wheel all together, same with all other boots. they are extemely sporadic on every monster who drops them. ie 9 pairs of boots from 150 nechs, while other times u can go 2-3 tasks without. or i had 7 d boots one task from 170 mages, other times you can go 900+ kills no d boots. But again this is pure speculation, but ive never seen any drop so irradic as boot drops Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning

I get 30 kills per dose of super set but am maxed attack and strength. They die fast. If you take too much you can't carry the runes they drop. Bring a BoB along to hold pots. I find 3 terrorbirds and summoning pot lasts me. Trust the Gene Genie!
