Zemus3654
[ ¤ Table of Contents ¤ ] • Introduction • Gear Setups • Getting There • Armadyl's Eyrie • The Boss • FAQ[ ¤ Introduction ¤ ] Hello and welcome to my Armadyl Guide. I've been doing Armadyl since about a month after the Gwd update and Armadyl is easily my favourite boss in Runescape, to give you an idea of how much experience I have here:• I have made around 3B from armadyl drops, (approx 60 hilts and countless armour drops)• I have 45m range exp, a majority of the xp past 99 (32m) is from armadyl trips.• For a year I lead my Gwd clan specializing in armadyl with daily trips. I hope my guide helps you to make some cash and have some fun at armadyl.Requirements60+ Strength or 60+ Agility70+ RangeRecommended Stats85+ Range70+ Def [ ¤ Gear Setups ¤ ] Having the right gear and inventory is essential in having a long lasting trip, however the perfect setup won't be the same for everyone, it depends on you (your stats as well as skill), and your team. It takes time, but just experiment with your inventory until you find what works for you, but here are some setups to get you started. [hide=Low-risk Solo][/hide][hide=Pro Solo][/hide][hide=Pro Duo][/hide][hide=Average Duo][/hide][hide=Pro Trio][/hide][hide=Poor][/hide] Here is a table showing some of the items i have used in these pics explaining them.1: Enhanced Excalibur -- The enhanced excalibur is an excellent item for armadyl, dks, fight caves and much more. It's special heals you 200LP (goes up in increments of 40hp over 20seconds) as well as boosting your defence by 13. You need to complete Seers Diary 3 for this. 2: Bones to Peaches -- Because of the large amount of bones dropped in armadyl, bones to peaches definately comes in handy here. the amount of hp it saves you quickly builds up, and will save you a few brews. 3: Grenwall Spikes -- Grenwall spikes are used to make extreme ranging potions. If you and your partner have the requirements (92 herblore) to make them, it is recommended you bring some along for all the ranging pot drops you get, to make them into extremes. 4: Extreme Range Pots -- Self explanitory, boosts range. 5: Super Prayer Potions - At 99 prayer, super prayer potions recover 41 prayer in one dose, instead of the 31 from a regular potion. If you have the reqs for these and are planning a long trip, these will help you alot. 6: Unholy Book -- You will need a zamorak item while getting Kc to keep the zamorak npc's off you. I use the unholy book, because it also comes in handy when killing armadyls minions inside of the boss room, when kree is dead. As it gives +8 range bonus, and +5 prayer bonus, which in the long run will save you some supplies. ~ Gear Table ~If you still aren't sure on what to bring, here is some gear that you can substitute from best to worst. Helm: Verac > Armadyl > Neitiznot > God Coif Chest: Armadyl > Karils > D'hide Skirt: Armadyl > Karils > D'hide Shield: Elysian/Spectral > Divine > Dragonfire > Arcane/Blessed Spirit > Dragon SQ >/Rune Note: Divine is better for soloing, and in some cases duoing. Other then that the prayer drain is just too much and i would even recommend a Dfs over divine, for Trio+)Boots: Rangers > Infinity > Snakeskin > Ring: Archers > Seers > Life Amulet: Fury > Glory > Stole Gloves: Barrows > Braces B.o.B Familiar: Pack Yak > Tortoise > Terrorbird > Bull Ant Healing Familiar: Unicorn > Fruit Bat > Titan > Bunyip * Bring an Armadyl and Zammy item, Zammy bracers or Zammy book works good. If you don't have an armadyl item, use armadyl pendant and take the best amulet you have in your inv for when you're inside the boss room. [ ¤ Getting There ¤ ] Cyan Path:(recommended): Tele to Trollheim, then just climb down the mountain and follow the path to the God wars dungeon.Required: Eadgar’s Ruse Lime path: (only go this way if you haven't done Eadgar’s ruse): From the warriors guild, up to death plateu, follow the long road above, past the arena and trolls until you get to the God wars Dungeon.Required: Death Plateau, climbing boots. [ ¤ Armadyl's Eyrie ¤ ] Points of Interest1: Kill Count Area - This is probably the best place for armadyl Kc, and is the one i use. I generally get 40 kc here in around 10 minutes, sometimes less. There are 3 low level'd aviansies here all close-by (shown as yellow dots on my map above), as well as a Gorak and other zamorak followers which helps kill the aviansie. 2: Another good KC spot is just over the grapple-pillar, these are generally less populated then the other spot, however i find the other spot is quicker because of the assistance of the zamorak minions. 3: Grapple Box - If one of your team-mates forget their grapple, or you dropped yours and need to go back, there is a crate here where you can search to get a grapple from. (Note: you must not have a grapple in your invent or you won't get one, you'll have to drop it then search the crate if your getting one for a team mate) 4: Safe Area - Here is a safe spot where there are generally no armadyl or zamorak followers, if you don't have an item to stop them attacking you, you can hide over here until you're ready. [ ¤ Kree'arra ¤ ] Now you're finally ready to take on Kree'arra. Make your way to the boss room and organise which minion you are taking and make sure you stick to it, after the boss dies everyone attacks them individually instead of piling. If you are duoing, one person get the range, and other mager. Attack them once to make them attack you, then pile the melee. When the melee is dead, continue killing your minion. When everyone is ready, activate protect from range and eagle eye, or for curses Leech Def/Range (Do NOT let your prayer drop when kree is alive, it hits upto 690 and accurate.) Keep your Hp above 400 at all times or theres a good chance you'll get KOed. Spread out so the melee minion has further to travel, dealing less damage. Try and spread so that you are standing next to your minion so you can attack it quickly. When Kree is almost dead, get a right-click on your minion, so you can attack it as fast as possible, before he does some damage to whoever gets piled at the end. When they're all dead, stand in the spot below, then you will have time to quickly pray before kree spawns. So yeah that's about it, if you have any questions feel free to post them. Good luck with the hilts. Lets_3ekout
Very nice guide, there's a bit of a lack of Armadyl GWD guides so it's nice seeing one come out :D Why don't you bring range potions though? Surely they're worth the space? Something you could add on sometime is Kree's attacks. I'm yet to try Kree myself, but I hear she has a few special moves (something about a whirlwind moving you around?). llamster
Eagle eye? Isn't that a waste of prayer points? And the aviansies in the center area are really crowded. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

totalpwnage
That is a ton of brews to restores. Especially for that gear. Unless you're like 70 mage or 70 def or something. I bring 3:2 and thats duoing... but I'm 99 def, 79 pray, 93 range, 99 mage. So idk. Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x. The_Gabe
It's v helm>guth=torag helm> the rest. V helm gives you prayer which is important. Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.
bedman
Nice guide, but what are the 2 open spots in your invo for? Also, your brew to restore ratio seems very high, considering you have a unicorn and b2p tabs + the best gear. Lastly, some advice on prayer restoring, what to do in between kills (b2p etc) and stuff like that could be handy. Most vital information is included though, nice work. Lastly, some advice on prayer restoring, what to do in between kills (b2p etc) and stuff like that could be handy. Most vital information is included though, nice work.Im guessing the 2 open spots are for whatever you need them to be- armadyl pendant if using karils, a 1-click teleport, mith grapple, etc. Anyway great guide, I'll definately be using it once I get 90 ranged. :
Xnosis
His brew/restore ratio of 3:1 is good because it doesn't waste any doses. You can brew up to 3 times and one rest will bring all stats to normal. And the two open spaces I believe are for trollheim telly (2 laws, 2 fires)
colin666
This is a pretty good guide but you are missing a few small things in your inventory (1click tele, explanation of teleporting to trollheim)

z0diark
Pretty good but I think some of the armour suggestions were a bit misleading. The most important thing at armadyl is high ranged attack bonus and high magic defence bonus. With this in mind, the armadyl helm would be better than the zamorakian coif which would be better than the verac's helm. The prayer bonus from the verac helm really doesnt make up for the ranged attack/magic defence bonus lost. Also, I know that not many people have them but the elysian/divine/spectral spirit shields are far better than the dragonfire shield. Infinity boots and even snakeskin boots are better than bandos/dragon boots for the same reason as above.
