Wow I totally love this guide! It's awesome and I feel like spot 3 is a lot better than spot 2. 10/10

I am however upset that this guide doesn't mention how to safely log out from this area. I'm down to 31 hp cause I had to go but kept running from corner to corner only to get a skeleton to attack me while i'm a monkey and just about to log off. Please tell me where the best spot to log off is at for spot 3! I had to run all the way around the bend separating spot 1 and 2 to log off there and took lots of damage from [bleep]es (some you can't avoid but I was also panicking, looking for a spot and stood on some for a few seconds). I'll log on to have rocks fall on my head and then have to run past 2 [bleep]es again and will most likely have to cut this trip early... =/

So please, add a section to your guide about where you can log off safely!!

holy hell amazing guide man! i might actually do this after achieving some current goals. 120k+/hour exp damn thatll make 95-99 cake! i get panicky during situations of low health and constant barrage of high lvl mobs but i think i can manage for the sake of sick [wagon] exp..

thanks!!

This is quite epic, possibly one of the best guides to powertraining melee/range around. Although I am also curious as to how well void melee with a whip works too! Unfortunately I don't have the helmet, so I don't know.

The main purpose of using the spot is so that your health can get gotten low easily for dharoking. While I have not tested void melee with whip there, I am certain it gives less xp/hr, possible around 100K.

do not use a godsword as it is much slower, only ~90k an hour

I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"

walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

Allow me to explain. It's because you're already getting good enough ranged attack bonus and the extra little bit from the accumulator won't help you out in the long run when compared to the +4 prayer bonus you'll get from the trimmed cape. Less prayer pots will be used.

And thanks a lot Chensj2! The logout spot really helps!

Very nice guide <3:

but why do you think i'm only getting 250k xp/hr?

I'm 92 range, I use spot #3, I always try to have the most number or monkey's on me at a time, I use eagle eye, i used full void range, what is my problem? Is it just because i have 92 range, not 99? :?

If it are grey chins, that's normal. Red chins should give you easily 300k+ though.

While I have not tested void melee with whip there, I am certain it gives less xp/hr, possible around 100K.

i, however, have tested it. i did not use void but i did use a whip and salve (e) and was getting close ot 120k exp/hr, and it is safer than dharoking. its where i trained 97-99 def and 96-99 str(with ss). i dont know how much exp/hr it would be with vk, though.

do not use a godsword as it is much slower, only ~90k an hour[/hide]

Hmm, is that including the xp from familiars? If not, then it will be better than I expected, and indeed better than other known whip training spots.

The greataxe cannot train defence, so a whip has to be used in this aspect. With regard to attack and strength though, I cannot see any method giving this a run for the money.

Just a slight note: I am not entirely certain, but I am quite sure that using full melee void is inferior to the standard melee equipment set.

why trimmed cape > accumulator? :?

Yes, and in case you were wondering, the accumulator can't retrieve chinchompas.

I do pot up....I do tend to spend a lot of time shifting the skele's around....maybe that's why :P

thanks

Due to difficulties in succinctly describing how you go about your chinning it is inherently difficult to diagnose the problem. As you have suggested you should not a significant amount of time moving the skeletons (and/or bones) around, and the crux is really on when you should go about doing so.

If you notice from the video, moving the skeletons should not have an adverse effect on your xp/hr, because if you time your movements perfectly, they should coincide with your between-throws-waiting-time, and thus not affect how many chinchompas you use per hour.

As for spreading the bones, this should only be done when there are few skeletons around to attack, and in any case it is sometimes possible to do so without interrupting your attack.

So, as you become more experienced with chinning, and as you continue to refine your chinning technique and become more adept at determining when to move, your xp/hr should approach the optimum.

Congratulations! After consideration by the PMG moderating team, your guide has been deemed worthy of AOW status!

Thanks a lot, wasn't expecting it.

Nope. Void melee is the most powerful melee offensive armor in the game. This is because it's actually a 15% bonus instead of the 10% the KB claims.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Awesome! This guide was definitely worth of AOW status! I really haven't read a guide that put the powertraining of combat as sufficely as this one. And yes Chenjs, I can see the ease of getting to low hp much higher here with the falling rocks. I was just curious as always with this game :D

It's very surprising how good dharoks is for training if you use it right. Once again, congratulations man. And a completely off-topic question for you, what do you do in the game once you've achieved 2376 total? Just work on your rank? Or bask in the glory of maxedness? :P

Even so, barrows gloves, Neitiznot et al seem too much to give up, on paper at least. Like I said I have not tested melee void, but from what I hear the general opinion is that you are worse off with it.

The good think about being maxed is that you have no longer any obligation to train any particular skill, and so you are free to do what you want. As for me, I am too busy to partake in concentration-exhaustive activities, and so am cooking while doing other things.

yes, the exp is including familiars. however i now have bandos instead of proselyte and better familiars, would you like me to try it again to see how much exp/hour i get? i trained without a berserker ring aswell, which most higher level players have, and a dfs etc, it wouldnt be too much to expect with higher str+ i could get upto 125k, or maybe a little more
I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"

walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

I had to run all the way around the bend separating spot 1 and 2 to log looking for a spot and stood on some foroff there and took lots of damage from [bleep]es (some you can't avoid but I was also panicking, a few seconds). I'll log on to have rocks fall on my head and then have to run past 2 [bleep]es again and will most likely have to cut this trip early... =/

So please, add a section to your guide about where you can log off safely!!

Thanks, I shall add that

This is quite epic, possibly one of the best guides to powertraining melee/range around. Although I am also curious as to how well void melee with a whip works too! Unfortunately I don't have the helmet, so I don't know.

The main purpose of using the spot is so that your health can get gotten low easily for dharoking. While I have not tested void melee with whip there, I am certain it gives less xp/hr, possible around 100K.

i, however, have tested it. i did not use void but i did use a whip and salve (e) and was getting close ot 120k exp/hr, and it is safer than dharoking. its where i trained 97-99 def and 96-99 str(with ss). i dont know how much exp/hr it would be with vk, though.

do not use a godsword as it is much slower, only ~90k an hour[/hide]

Hmm, is that including the xp from familiars? If not, then it will be better than I expected, and indeed better than other known whip training spots.

Rune defender>DFS. And the greataxe can train defence.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
