I once heard that they would be doing something "unique" things with co-op play. However, they've been awfully quiet about it since then. Maybe this is the start of a new break-through? Time for an update don't ya think? First, I'd like to thank InsanityV2 (again) and ratchet573 for directing me towards the articles in the Official PS3 magazine and in Game Informer respectively. I went to an international magazine store today and bought both of them. I'll make an attempt on putting them in my first post later on. Heck, maybe I'll even scan the pages. But that's for the near future. Also thanks to life_mage12 for giving me some character details. Every bit of information about GOW: Chains of Olympus is also welcome, since I haven't played it. And I don't mind spoilers BTW. To-do list: - Finish the character details and think about some notable minor characters and bosses. - Add some known enemies for GOW 3. - Post the URL's of the articles posted before in the first post (with credits) and maybe even a short summary of each of them. - Talk about weapons and powers. - Post some more facts about GOW 3. - Add the articles from the magazines (see above). You can expect these updates within the next week. The character descriptions should be ready by the end of today. You've all been really helpfull, so keep the reactions coming : I'll scan the pages of OPM if you wish. It should be freaking amazing. I recently got the God of War collection for my ps3. and loved every nostalgic moment of replaying GOW. I never played 2, and I must say I disliked it's story, and portrayal of Kratos, he seemed a bit whingy, but the backgrounds, and most of all the amazing work with enemies and weapons made it worth it. God of War 1, best game on the ps2, in my opinion, of all time. I LOVED everything about it. The fighting system was revolutionary; Complex, but amazingly simple. The character of Kratos, was purely epic in scale. One man, a single mortal, taking on the very GODS themselves. Pure win. Not to mention the Minotaur death scene, in Pandora's Temple. I have never seen a death scene as amazing as that. Kratos' pure brutality was also revolutionary, and I'm yet to see a game get the emotional response I gained from GOW match it. I also feel you are missing, and have a few bits of information incorrect, or worded poorly. The Ghost of Sparta came from having the ashes of his wife and child fused into his skin by the Oracle. You didn't mention it was his family's ashes. Him and Athena didn't have a loving relationship, not as far as I saw. Whilst they were friendly, there was no romance. Indeed, he acted rather rudely to her, just before leaving for Rhodes. Zeus didn't technically kill Kratos, seeing as Kratos is alive. You should clarify that as well. You didn't mention the fact that Kratos was the new God of War in his summary, unless you purposely avoided that for plot reasons. Some known things about God of War 3 should also be updated. We know now that Hades will play a role as a boss, implying the underworld will be involved as well. Hermes also appears to be a boss. There is speculation that the third queen of the Medusa; Stheno will also be involved, although she may be replaced by Helios. There is also speculation of Kratos having power over time itself, seeing as he is now the lone master of Fate, thanks to killing the 2 sisters, and Clothos. The Blades of Athena will appear, as well as an ability to run along walls, possibly related to Herme's, seeing as his 'power' as a god was wings on his shoes, which Kratos appears to wear in the trailer. demonsbane37 Posted January 18, 2010 Share Posted January 18, 2010 Bare with me as im writing this from my ps3's browser.I had played a bit of the first two games on ps2, but not beat them.I bought god of war collection and have now beat both and the GOW3 demo included. If it helps i can say (at least in the demo) that after ripping off helios' head you hold it like euradale/madusa's but it iluminates dark areas and secrets instead of freezing enemies. This is indeed bs.I had to cough up €175 for the ultimate trilogy edition btw. Interesting fact: God of War I was originally intended as a USA-only game.
