Dreamtongirl
Do you read? What do you read? When do you read? Do you enjoy reading? I love reading. I've read a lot of the CHERUB series by Robert Muchamore, they're really well written. I like spy books mostly, and I read before I go to sleep in the evening, helps to fill my mind with things to dream about. Do you read? CHERUB are love. You read the first in the Henderson's Boys series? It's just as epic as the CHERUB series. It makes me sad sometimes because I wish I could be a CHERUB  I love the CHERUB series, I feel exactly the same as you do about becoming one. :P I third that. I haven't read the Henderson's Boys one yet. :x I was kinda gutted cos' I wanted to see what happened with James and Kerry. Aha, sad, I know. We'll sneak out while they sleepAnd sail off in the night. We'll come clean and start over the rest of our lives. When we're gone, we'll stay gone.Out of sight, out of mind. It's not too late,We have the rest of our lives. Stephen9o3
I'm currently reading Eric Nylund's newest book Mortal Coils. I bought it because I thought the Halo books by him (particularly the first one) were very well written. I'm a couple chapters from the end. The book is pretty decent, took a little while to get started. There will be more to the series, so I'm definitely interested in how those will turn out. Next on my shelf is Ender's Game. I hope it lives up to all that I've heard of it. Combat FTL

Skeptical
Yea, I read tons: just about anythng I can get my hands on; fiction and non-fiction. During the school year, I generally read an average of about 2 books (of 250-500 pages each) a week. During the summer, as much as 250+ pages a day. I just finished reading How wars are won and The Two Towers (for perhaps the 50th time.) "Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security." Apparently there's a movie coming out, which is gonna be awesome. EDIT: Penultimate book wil be out by September this year. Titled 'Brigands MC'. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. AndyPandy
What's this Cherub thing that everyone seems to be talking about ? Some lame Alex Rider rip-off ? No, much better written than Alex Rider, and quite different. Way better than Alex Rider, it's bloody amazing I swear. It IS similar to Alex Rider, but trust me it's [bleep]ing epic. http://www.cherubcampus.com/ I've just ordered myself a black CHERUB t-shirt :twss: Epic win! Take pics pl0x. As soon as I get it I'll post mah hawt t-shirt pics  I am going to continue commandeering this thread to be a CHERUB thread :twss: I was wondering if there are any American Cherub readers and how you can handle having less of the books out over there?! I read The Recruit as a part of the Bolton Children's Book Award 4 years, bought all the books ever since. Got to meet Robert Muchamore, didn't get his signature on my books though #-o I think I'll die a little inside when the series finishes  I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. i_love_burritos
What's this Cherub thing that everyone seems to be talking about ? Some lame Alex Rider rip-off ? Alex Rider ftw. Alex Rider was written for the male pre-teen market. It wasn't a book. It was a direct commerical attack on the masses. It's a crap book, its a bad read and moreover the plot sucks. Anthony Horowitz, has written good books in the past but this was pure, unadulterated crap. The book has a shiny cover for God's sake ! In twenty-five words or less, the whole Alex Rider series is very simple.

You should be very wary of books with shiny covers, that is true =/ Cherub is way better though because it's written more for older teens and isn't all James Bond like, it's so real you could imagine it to be true. Personally, I find the plots to be interesting and the lack of formal wording relaxing. Not going to disclose my age over the internet but ... ok. Just wiki'd Maximum Ride, by James Patterson so I imagine its OK. Personally I think he should stick to Adult Crime Fiction or Thrillers, just what he does best. Yeah, I agree with you there. Lack of formal wording is "enjoyable" but doesn't necessarily make the book any better.
lonellama
The Legend of Drizzt by R.A. Salvatore are really good books imo. Lot's of action and you cant put them down :o they're like really good movies being played in your head ;)

Stephen9o3
Has anyone read the Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks? It always catches my eye when I'm at the bookstore but I'm hesitant to buy. It is Brent Weeks' debut trilogy, and it seems like the trilogy could be pretty corny, but I'm not sure. tripsis
I LOVE to read :) I usually go through several books a week unless I'm extremely busy. I guess I mostly read more childish books because I love fantasy and the writing style that's usually associated with teen/young adult novels. Here are the next books on my list: [*:3fcdq6v7]The Tapestry: The Second Siege by Henry H. Neff - Currently reading; almost done. [*:3fcdq6v7]The Companion's Quartet, Book Four: The Chimera's Curse by Julia Golding - On order. [*:3fcdq6v7]The Lost World by Michael Crichton [*:3fcdq6v7]Angels & Demons by Dan Brown Unfortunately (for the bank), I also love collecting books. Once I find a book that I like, I have a strong desire to own it. So I have a huuuuuge, overflowing bookshelf of books that has been cleaned out at least several times (and the 'generations' of books have been donated). - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
Cup Lion
Reading Catch-22 right now. A fairly humorous book, in my opinion. I like the medieval fantasy, but can stand all other types of genres. I don't read much, since I don't have a lot of free time. |Signature by Jason321|
transcript80
My favourite author is David Eddings, I would recommend The Belgariad & The Malloreon series of books by him. Great, and very absorbing read! Not to forget the Elenium and Tamuli series. The later work shows decline. Ik liked the Redemption of Althalus, but the Younger God series were bad. I also like Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" Series. Read a fair share of Grisham, Clancy, and some English classics like "1984", "animal farm" (nice) and "a brave new world" amongst others. I'm now reading into the "Dwarves" series, forgot the writher's name, but he's German. Never even read LoTR, I find it too....well...thick. Tolkien writes 3 pages long about surroundings, where he could have done in 3 sentences. I like a quicker/easier read. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
