We're planning three new dwarf quests in total (this one plus two more), and their level requirements will get progressively harder so that the last one will be Grandmaster level, with requirements of around 70-75. I can't say anything specific about when we will release any of the quests, but we're not planning to leave as long a gap between instalments as there was before this one.

3rd one will give dragon pickaxe.[/speculation]

Im glad Mod Mark told him to up the requirements, these sound more fair then level 20 ones. ::'

Dwarf graphics rework will be nice aswell, they really need it.

Other then that, good to see how the progress is coming along.

You may begin your wild speculations now.
They know their players so well...

But wow, a grandmaster quest in this series sounds pretty cool, though obviously it's a little ways off. And a dwarf graphical rework couldn't hurt. :)

blue = sad

hoo = who

loo = 100

vo = broken ice cream cone = sad children = sad babies = dead babies

bluehooloovo = sadwho100deadbabies = Who is sad about 100 dead babies?

I've cracked the code!

I'm really liking the DD's. They are at least as long as an average BTS was, but they focus on one thing, allowing for more insight in that one thing. It really helps us to understand how things are going with a certain project. And yes, I agree with one of the people above that one of the last 2 will have a dragon pickaxe.

Currently will be using my Oni Tsurugi account to attempt to get 99 on all free skills without spending any gp, just for the sake of doing so.

Mark's always telling me he wants a quest with 80+ requirements, maybe 90+ sometimes.

Would be awesome, the higher the better ::' This would actually make the quest cape something.

Among the things decided at this stage of the project are the exact level requirements of the quest. In the last diary I said that they would probably be in the same range as those of Forgettable Tale..., but Mod Mark has decided that they should be higher than that. I can now exclusively reveal the new quest's level requirements:

* Level 41 Hunter.

* Level 54 Firemaking.

* Level 54 Strength.

* Ability to defeat a level 100 enemy.

lol 'higher'

Thing is it will never happen 'cause the average Scaper tends to stop at like 70ish.

What could you have to do in a dwarf quest that involves Hunter, Firemaking and Strength? You may begin your wild speculations now.

We have to wrestle a lvl 100 dwarf, then capture him with a net and set him on fire :twisted:

Anyways looking forward to the dwarf quests, I think they might go together with gnome quests in the end.

I'm starting to like the Dwarf Development Diaries, it feels as if we are moving along with the progress of it. It feels more like we are behind the scenes than with the old behind the scenes :lol:

Seeing the words Grandmaster Quest made my eyes light up and I can understand requirements just sticking in the 70 range, that'll be OK just so long as the quest proves an actual challenge -with puzzles and strong monsters.

I speculate the Dragon pickaxe coming out in the second from last quest. But i wouldn't be too surprised if Jagex makes us wait until the finale.

edit - and I was thinking just before I loaded this page that maybe the next quest would be the perfect time to give the dwarves a graphic update and read the diary only to find they will be! It's about time!

Fingers crossed that a gnome and maybe an elf quest come out this year so that they get reworked too. Along with a rework of the Gnome Stronghold and Village.

Brilliant. Another grandmaster quest will surely expand the amount of things to do in Keldagrim. One of the most interesting and well designed cities (apart from Dorgesh-Kaan) will finally have a reason for me to go there =D

So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth,

These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf,

Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in,

Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything,

Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel,

Tear up the book and write your own damn rules,

Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got,

And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut,

And realise that the other world that you're always looking for,

Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door,

And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas,

After all, you were put on the earth to do this,

So shine your light so bright that all can see,

Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.

Love these little teasers.

I'm guessing along the lines of dragon warhammer and not pickaxe, partly to be different and partly due to the warhammer repaired in the first quest. The pickaxe would be too predictable and Jagex like to confuse and amaze players with "I wasn't expecting that, but it makes perfect sense" type rewards. Maybe add granite boots into the mix too like how granite maces were an extra reward of Chosen Commander.

Again these little updates give you something more to look forward to.

[hide=Drops]

  • Dragon Axe x11
    Berserker Ring x9
    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
    Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]

New summon monster. You get 99 summon and complete a hard quest to gain the ability to summon Jesus, who splits the waters allowing you to walk to a new port town where you unlock the sailing skill. Obviously ;)

That was Moses you idiot.

That gets fixed in the bugfix the following week. Maybe.

Kinda logical that Dragon Pickaxe will come, after all it does deal with the Red Axe... Dragon is red, and pickaxe[/b]?

Also, what do we relate dwarves to? Smithing and mining. Dragon Warhammer doesn't smith anything though, but maybe it will have something to smith with ..? But they already announced that they will have a Dragon Pickaxe soon. Maybe they'll both come out though :shock:

Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x.

PvP drops: 359 Brawling Gloves, 11 Vesta's Longswords, 41+ Zaros/Ancient Statues

9 Dragon Full Helms, 3 Dragonfire Shields on the old PvP loot system

Brawler guide is being finished!

Well the gods do favor those who offer them bone marrow.

Sorry about the wrists, Returned. I needed some extra marrow for a good clue scroll reward, and you were the closest person.
