YOUR Future Plan???

After quitting Runescape, I've pretty much moved on with life, thinking about the future. So I just walk by memory lane and came back here to talk about the future.

WHATS YOUR FUTURE PLAN?

Share your future plan that maybe a life plan, a 10 year plan, 5 year or maybe even a plan of what you are gonne do tonight(but that will just be a spam wouldn't it?)

Heres mine

I'm living in Singapore, studying in Polytechnic which just started my 3rd year.(My last year WOO HOO)

I'm currently getting documents and stuff to get into a University in Japan(Means I'm flying off)

BUT even if I get in a University, I'll immediatly have to ask for a 2 year leave from it. (WHAT? WHY Stun?)

Well, in Singapore theres this little thing called the National Service and All males gotta join em. Which means that I'll need to join civil service(Army? Police? Who knows) for 2 years in order to get with University studies.

There ya go, my 6 years plan. (4y in Uni + 2y in army)

Enough about me, now tell me your future plans?!

Finish college, go to University studying computer subjects... try to get a job at Jagex... fail (succeed hopefully though), end up in some dead end job and come home every night to an empty house and go on the computer with no social life. Maybe get arrested at some point...

Currently I plan on going to University for either civil/mechanical/chemical engineering, but ideally software engineering. My hopes for a university vary greatly, depending on where I want to study. I'm considering MIT, but tuition would be incredibly expensive (I live in Canada). Other universities I'm considering are University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, Ryerson University, and Queen's University.

From there I plan on pursuing any career that would utilize my degree.

In truth I'm not entirely sure what I want to do. Firefighting is one career choice that is fairly appealing. Good pay, good benefits, and one hell of a lot of time off, because you work 24 hours shifts, then get a couple days off. Ends up being 7 out of every 28 days your work.

My ideal job choice would be one that keeps me physically active while still using my brain.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

I want to start doing good in high school, finishing it, go to cegep( ) go to mcgill, since that's probably the only university I'd be able to go to, mainly because it's so close by. Get an apartment downtown, probably somewhere around st laurent and st catharines. I also want to learn how to play several instruments. That's what I want to do within the next ten years. Plus other things, this is just a quick summary.

I plan on finishing college and then work in some programming companies (as in C++, vb.net and more) and maybe after a few years, apply for a job at Jagex? But being Canadian, I might stay in Canada, since there's so many jobs for programmer/annalysts opening, that's incredible.

I plan on releasing some music sometime in the future. My brother and I have some amazing material that will surely make us some nice income. The problem is that we don't have the resources, money, and extra guitarists to pull it off yet. But honestly I don't think I've ever been more proud in my life.

I really need to sort my [bleep] life out before I even decide on what to do with the future. It's kind of hard to do when you haven't found any consistent happiness in a while.

I would think the opposite is true. If you hate the world then that is more of an incentive to go through with your career and change whatever you wanna change. Could you imagine what Nirvana would be like if Kurt was a cheerful guy? :P

Do AS and A2 exams, get into a good University (Cambridge or UCL or ICL or Sheffield) and study Chem. Engineering, get a good science-ey job (technical term) somewhere, and that's where my overly optimistic future plans break down. ;)

Hopefully graduate highschool, then who knows, probably going to take a year or two off before college so i can mess around with my friends.

Why do you put "hopefully" before graduating? Isn't exactly rocket science :P

Hopefully write a book or something that will end up giving me all the money I need to [bleep] around my entire life.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Finish my A levels with some decent grades, get myself a computing or software engineering course at university. Work for some software companys or do some contracting for a couple of years to get experience then try and settle for a job in the games industry.

Also start a family, win the lottery, etc etc.

My plan?

Achieve the best I can in my LC exam (Final Irish state exam, determines what courses you can apply for in Irish colleges). Might do a degree, might not, if I do, most likely law or medicine.

After School or College, I plan to go on to join the British army, either the RIR (Royal Irish regiment) or the 16th Brigade (The paras). I will eventually try to join the SAS, my goal in life considering the fail rate is 97%, if I don't join them after many trys or I simply don't feel the army is right for me, I plan to quit and then join the Gardaí (Irish police force) and then eventually the ERU (Elite force of the Irish police, act as a Swat team and do all escort for politicians of who need utmost safety).

It wont pay big, it wont get me a big house and a gold-digger wife, but happiness matters more than money, and those two are the jobs I want.

You could work that way too, I suppose. But the lack of happiness is pretty draining on my motivation. I'm pretty sure I'll find something that I really want to do soon enough, though.

Thinking about applying for a job at a local computer shop.
