The quest help says that you need to remove all weapons and armor before entering the mining camp. This is NOT like Entrana- even clothing items need to be removed. Take EVERYTHING off or you'll be thrown in jail. Also, when talking to the mine-cart driver at the end, if he asks if you're trying to get him fired, say "no, shot maybe" this is supposed to be part of the jokes.
