Maximum gp/h at aviansies.

Heyy,

Just a quick question, i was wondering what weapon gives the maximum gp/h, in the calculation i would like you to include the cost of ammo used per hour.

These are the options that i had in mind.

Regular c bow + broad bolts.

Adamant darts.

Mithril knife.

Or Obby rings.

Rememeber i am not asking what weapon hits the highest/most frequent, i want to know what weapon gives you the most Gp/h AFTER reducing costs from ammo.

Thanks.

I make 490k an hour net profit with void, range pots, and broads. I'm curious about this myself so I'm going to try obsidian rings today, 1 hour with void 1 hour with accuracy gear and see what happens. I can't forsee adamant darts being any good but I'll try them another time.

I'd imagine rings are quite good, I have yet to test them, will probably do that soon, I'll post my findings here if I get around to it.

As for the others, I'd just go for Broad-Bolts, they're good all around.

I would like to get the most difficult 99 in the game to accomplish. which is woodcutting.
because I had a drunken night in philadelphia and sprayed a fire extinguiser, evacuated a 7 story hotel on the philly stadium, spent the night in jail.. then got on level 2 prob & have to pay 50 a month because I have a job. It's their way of collecting more money out of me.

That weirdo, compfreak (i hope he doesn't see this) said that you can make 1m an hour

I really lol'ed

825k was the number he was always throwing out, though knowing him, I wouldn't be surprised if 1 million slipped out every now and then.

Apparently, if you want to be a jackass and steal kills, profit goes up quite a bit.

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

Yes the top end of the estimate was 850k per hour.

But this was with maxed defense, maxed range, full void, unicorn, obby rings, 10% prayer and gear focusing on max offensive bonuses.

With emerald (e) bolts, decent prayer gear, combat familiar and a decent range level its possible to hit the 500k per hour mark (this was when p pots (4) where at about 8k).

Of course it can seriously annoy others (you get them poisoned and down to half hp, then simply leave them for the pets, familiar and poison), requires 3/4 spawns to yourself and a fair bit of concentration.

[hide=1 hour with rings and void]aviansie_obbyrings.gif[/hide]

Repotting at 99 range. The last kill was at 4:31.

I understand 1 hour isn't very long, but it doesn't look good for obby rings. I would have tested for longer but I was almost out of rings :wall: I thought 300 would be plenty. I'll try them for longer tommorrow. One thing I noticed is that they are excellent for killstealing.

I imagine the rune x-bow and broad bolts would be best. The bolts are cheap & powerful, the bow isn't too slow and is also powerful. There also isn't some low limit on broad bolts like rings have.

How much do you "lose" in an hour if you don't use the range bonus pray? Is it worth the pray pots?

Half and half... prayer pots prices are pretty high right now.

1) Compfreak uses Unicorns.

2) Repot when around half the bonuses are gone from the pot, not all. This slows you down quite a bit...

3) Your equipment isn't very fast killing. Your shield, cape, and amulet are all messed up.

4) I'm guessing you aren't being very fast with your kills... 159/hour :XD:

5) You aren't praying, so that slows you down 10%.

6) You're killing inside Arma's fortress.

All bad stuff if you're going for fast kills.

1) I didn't say anything about compfreak :| and I don't have access to a unicorn (or titan). As it is my health is fine, a unicorn would just let me use an unholy book and an accumulator, speeding up kills a bit.

2) No.

3) Using the eyrie without an armadyl item (or protection prayer but that's irrelivent) is suicide. I doubt an unholy book and accumulator has enough defence to keep my health covered, but I do plan to try it.

4) That's just what I got, I click on one when another dies, pick up drops and pot up inbetween throws, not sure what else I'm supposed to be doing.

5) I plan on trying different situations. This was more of a 'test run' if you will.

6) Armadyl's eyries has far more aviansies. Outside of the eyrie, there are only 2 good spawns per 'spot' meaning I would have to wait for respawns. And they don't magically get harder to kill inside it :-k

I'll continue testing but even with optimal circumstances, I simply don't see how obsidian rings could be better then broad bolts. They've got half the range strength and 31 less range attack as rune crossbow and broads, but cost ~6x as much, thrown faster but that also means you'll be losing them faster, and effected lesss by void's damage and accuracy bonuses since they have lower stats.

I know, but Compfreak's rates were in question. As for 2, you simply dismiss the statement with a "No," when you clearly are suffering a huge amount of kills/hour because of it. 3 + 6. The aviancies are stronger with higher hp IIRC and they are more spread apart, IIRC. As for 4, I stated that because your rates were far lower than mine.

The eyrie has a much higher concentration of aviansies, and I tried to stick to a level 73 and level 76 spawn whille occasionally killing a 92.
Compfreak wasn't lying about his gp/hr. You have to remember that he was stealing kills though which can greatly increase profit.

If you kill everything outside the eyrie, you'll get faster kills than inside. If there are people outside, ignore them. Kill EVERYTHING. Well, that's how you get the fastest possible kills.
