Neilson1111
Bah, right now I can't believe it myself. I'm losing motivation to play runescape. I reached all of my armor goals, and now I'm on my way to 99 attack. But I lost motivation. The reason being is, my reason for even training is to get a fire titan, which requires about 3k crimisons from my level(72) I don't want to quit runescape...not yet... I still have tons of friends in runescape I don't want to lose. They helped me in tons of ways irl. Anyone know how to regain motivation in rs? Please don't tell me to quit if I lost the motivation, as I can't leave my friends... and being on runescape just sitting around doesn't cut out for me either.. Thanks... 16800000+ 15000000+ 9milGWD Drops:(Lootshare)2 Bandos Hilts, 1 BCP, 1 Bandos Tassets, 17 Snapdragon SeedsSlayer Drops: 7 Abbysal Whips, 37 Dragon Boots, 17 Mauls, 1 visage. sheep455_is_the_best
Train some other skills? Do fun things? (Minigames, quests?) Try NOT playing for a week, 5 days, doesn't matter, then come back.. Whenever I feel bored, I try that [Whip drops: 13]

You don't have to quit Runescape to regain motivation -- just stop no-lifing for a while. Take a couple of weeks and play only when you feel like it. When you do play, do only what you feel like doing. If you want to play castlewars all evening, do it. Eventually you'll get the itch to start training again. When you do, scratch it. Riemis
I'm still communicating with alle my friends, but i barely play rs! My secret? Forums and IRC channels ;) RuneScape Revolution (Dutch)
darkjab
I'm taking a bit of a break from it, only coming on to check updates. Runecrafting is the only thing I want to do lately but I can't be bothered with it either

Everyonedies
Ya just play runescape for fun if it isnt fun playing then dont play. Runescape isnt a job and it isnt a contest(though some might think it is) Its a game ment to be played in spare time for your enjoyment. If talking with friends is all you like to do then just log in and do that. Just do whatever it is you enjoy. http://www.clanhavok.net/
strilmus
I think minigames might be nice to try if you aren't really into grinding. As long as you don't play boring stuff (vinesweeper, mage training arena), they're actually pretty fun and you can drag some of your buddies into it. Neilson1111
Does abbysal demons count as something I can drag my friends in, or waterfiends =( 16800000+ 15000000+ 9milGWD Drops:(Lootshare)2 Bandos Hilts, 1 BCP, 1 Bandos Tassets, 17 Snapdragon SeedsSlayer Drops: 7 Abbysal Whips, 37 Dragon Boots, 17 Mauls, 1 visage. Neilson1111
Well, I do talk to some people, but they normally grind. There was one mean [wagon] 136 the other day, I said I was bored and he said, get out of here then kid, noone cares. Really, there are no-life mean high levels now? And nowadays, at demons, I see people kill a demon and not move for like 30 secs before moving again. People afk train now, not much people talk. 16800000+ 15000000+ 9milGWD Drops:(Lootshare)2 Bandos Hilts, 1 BCP, 1 Bandos Tassets, 17 Snapdragon SeedsSlayer Drops: 7 Abbysal Whips, 37 Dragon Boots, 17 Mauls, 1 visage. acowswrath
I feel the same way sometimes. I think the lack of decent updates is mostly responsible. Missing my mummy kept everyone busy for about an hour. I cant remember the last time new game content was added (hairstyles dont count) BOO
strilmus
Well, I think the new quest added an area that is ripe for some future expansion. They still gotta clean up the other things they left behind though.....we still can't get into the main elven city, the Red Axe folk are still loose and are close to an invasion force, and when's the last time anybody said anything about the mysterious sealed door in the elemental workshop? Plus the Morytania storyline is pretty close to finishing up and that's still hanging.
Neilson1111
Oh great, now you made me want new stuff. I'm really into quests, and I agree. I want to see the elven city. I also want to see Drakan... Skeptical
Try taking a "break" - only playing when you feel motivated, and if you are anything like me, after anywhere between 1 day -1 month, you have motivation again. "Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security." T. Skill
Take a break from playing, like a few days or maybe a couple weeks. That's what I do, though on a larger scale of like 1-2 month breaks. But when I come back the game is fun for me again. Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate? aznmidget448
Yeah, I lost motivation for runescape a few months ago. I still can't seem to find it... I feel like once you get so far into runescape, you just run out of things to do and everything becomes a chore. There's nothing to discover, nothing new to find. The only way I see myself coming back to runescape is if I can put enough space between "runescape the way I left it" and the now. The way I see it is I need something new and shiny to attract me to the game; maybe a new goal or something to achieve.
hihihi727
To be honest thats kind of sad, you shouldn't have to force yourself to play Runescape. I mean i'm sure you have friends in real life as well. Its kind of a good thing in a way because you will have more time to work hehe ok but if you really want to play Runescape don't try to do any "hard work" or something just do what you want. Really, don't try to force yourself into getting 100mil or whatever goal you have but do what you feel like and if there is nothing you feel like doing, just quit and come back later. Albel
I having this same problem as well right now. I got graduation coming up so i'm going to take a small break from runescape and hang out with friends. If you still want to play, try only playing when you want to. Don't ever "force" yourself to play, once you hit that point, you'll hate playing untill you take a break.
