Dire_Wolf
There are things in the game players are unsure about and even when looking at Knowledgebase for information there is still not a answer to the questions. Here are some i have come across of, they are mainly items: Ring of wealth How does it work, shouldn't Jagex be specific about it? Void set+Salve amulet Do they stack? I have tested it and i do not find them stacking. Dragon slayer gloves and Black mask/Slayer helm Do they stack? Drop rates Abyssal whip is 1 in 400 (If i am wrong ignore it, it's not important), yet a Rune kite at Abyssal demons is even rarer! The drop rate is somewhere between 1 in 500 to 1 in 1500. That's crazy many kills for a Rune kite! Something like that makes us all confused about what ring of wealth will affect. When i check Knowledgebase all i get is confusing answers and it pretty much pisses me off. I hate that i have to use a ring that is supposedly give me more wealth when it's hard to say where it is good at and where it is not. I have a idea of what monsters it is good on, but i can't say for sure specific on what items. I hope that Tip.it will ask for more information from Jagex about things us in this community are unsure about. P.S If you have something that your confused about and Jagex's Knowledgebase does not give you answers to, then add it to your post and i will add it to list. Sy_Accursed
Void and slave do stack thank you very much. I have done trianing and checke my stats and setup etc. With JUST void bonus my max hit was 31 with JUST slave (e) my max was 32 With BOTH my max was 34 I hit several 33s and 34s during about 2 weeks of training. z0diark
dont they have the ring of wealth info on the knowledge base? they talk about some kind of wheel It's a very cryptic description. Personally, I've found that the ring of wealth doesn't tend to help unless the drop in question is about 100k+. I rarely use it anymore apart from when I'm soloing bosses with good loot (DKs/GWD etc) or occasionally at mages and abyssal demons.

Napalm
Ring of wealth How does it work, shouldn't Jagex be specific about it? Jagex has already specified about how it works. It doesn't increment the drop rate of rare drops. The chances of getting, I don't know, let's say a Dragon skirt at iron dragons are the same with or without it, but with ring of wealth, it's more likely to get dragon platelegs or visage instead of dragon skirt. muggiwhplar
Jagex already stated how the ring of wealth works... basically when you kill a monster, two wheels are spun. The first wheel represents the rarity of the drop, and the second wheel represents items categorized by the first wheel. For example, if the first wheel lands on "rare" at GW, then the second wheel will roll and it can land on D med, GS shard, hilt, etc. The ring of wealth increases the chance of getting a rarer drop on the second wheel. So, the ring of wealth doesn't increase your chances of getting a rare item; rather, it increases your chances of getting a valuable rare item (i.e. hilt instead of shard). source: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=

Hilt drop rates are very high , being somewhere around 1 275 at Saradomin boss, 1 in 375 at Armadyl etc.. How can you say ring of wealth increases the chance of a valuable rare? The bosses are incredible hard to kill. And KB says items that they don't seldom drop, and my interpretation of it is items such as dragon boots, Mystic bottom, etc As for that Guthix information page, it's kinda talking in mystery. Jagex has not CLEARLY said how ROW works. They talk in a way that it makes you confused what they mean.

But you're saying armadyl hilt drop rate is pretty high, yet 1 in 375? They are rare drops, and Jagex would be sure to make it for you to have a better chance at getting these items while wearing the ring. Otherwise it would just be useless, which isn't the way Jagex made it. I guess what I'm trying to say is other monsters' wheels are probably designed for the expensive and useful items, like whips and hilts and the like, to be made easier to get while wearing the ring. Yes i understand but how can KNOW what drop rate is RARE? It's all very confusing. Here's why. Ring of wealth at Spiritual warrirors is great (They drop rune hally, long, kite often) ...so the ring increases the chance. But at a Abyssal demon a Rune kite supposedly the ROW makes drop more at Spiritual warriors, is almost never dropped. So i don't get it.
rangeor
Perhaps the rune kite is still on the first wheel, but in a very small section? There's no way to know any of this for sure, it's best to either have faith in it and use it all the time or think it's a load of crap and never wear it. Dire_Wolf
I do use it. I am just simply saying i wish the numbers involving ROW was laid out so we know how it works fully. InkofDeath
In my opinion we shouldn't be spoon fed the information, but given clues and cryptic messages to decode. That's how Jagex does it, and that's what they're good at above everything else. The clues and puzzles about information are always entertaining and require a bit of creativity. But the information that you're talking about isn't confusing or cryptic. Put logical reasoning in with any of those items and you'll have your answer. Sure if you tank out str bonus equipment so tht u can hit like 15 damage higher than u culd do without the str bonus you're gonna see a big xp increase. But void and salve stackting ur looking at a gain of 2 - 3 max hit and a gain in accuracy whihc means it is more effective but the overall impact on xp rates isn't gonna be super duper huge. And oh wow really you trained for a whole 24 hours? That really disapproves the fact I spent 2 weeks at about 6 - 8 hours a day training with the set up and consistently hit numbers that are 100% impossible to hit with my setup unless both bonuses were taking effect. Sy_Accursed
With all 99 combat stats its no wonder u didn't notice the difference.
