Eh, that Disturbed video isn't as bad as I thought it would be. The solo wasn't on par with Kirk's playing ability - seemed like he was lagging behind. Definitely not a good cover, but definitely not the worst.

Oh,

Metallica's version of Turn The Page

Different from Seger's, but still kickass.

Yeah, that was pretty good. I also liked Metallica's versions of Breadfan and Am I Evil?

I actually much prefer the

. The little pistol action he does on the "robbing people with a six gun" line gets me every time.

I like the Bobby Fuller version as well (I have both) but I prefer The Clash version. There's just something about the guitar on their version the I love.

I feel that this is far better than NIN's original version.

Shinedown- Simple Man

Not a chance. Shinedown's lead singer (along with his singer pals from Hinder and Three Days Grace) sounds like he's taking a dump whenever he sings. That style is just plain annoying. And secondly, don't [bleep] with Ronnie Van Zant's songs.

The music itself is kind of similar to Metallica's cover of Tuesday's Gone though

Except Hetfield's voice fits that style more, I think

These guys can make great covers even from lame songs:

EXHIBIT A: Crappy original:

EXHIBIT B: Rocking cover:
