I've seen people who were banned longer than me for Macroing. Jagex is stupid. From the Macro-detection systems upgrade post: These days we are taking a zero-tolerance approach to macroing. Players caught for macroing dont receive a warning, or a chance to appeal, or even a last-chance appeal - they are just permanently banned. Unless of course the macro detection system picked up the macroing before they released the new system. It could take days or even weeks for Jagex to review what their system detected to decide whether he was macroing or not so it most likely wasn't something he recently did. Infi Posted June 17, 2009 Share Posted June 17, 2009 As you all know, Jagex doesn't have the cleanest record for banning with complete concrete evidence... remember Snake Slavik or Slava? I'm not sure of his exact name, but he was the first to 99 range. Jagex mistook his translator as a blacklisted 3rd party program and then banned him, then he went directly to Jagex HQ in the UK with his computer to prove his innocence :lol: So yeah, I wouldn't be surprised that they would be making mistakes now, even after their so-called "improved macro detection technique" I've heard of some cases were people were getting banned because of using "macros" when they are running other 3rd party programs which Jagex might mistake as auto control programs.
