Clarification on headset

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about getting this headset that nadril recommended, but it says it uses a 3mm connection. My laptop only has mic in and audio out [standard ports](?), do i have to buy a seperate connector or something or am i just [cabaging] myself and it comes with a usb connector?

Edit: Scratch that, after reading the reviews i'm even more confused.

So this connector from the headset

Will hook into this port on my computer(which i thought only worked with regular headphones)

And i will be able to use both the headphone part and the microphone part, while they're still connected to each other?

Editx2: Is the difference between this headset and the other one negligible or would it be worth it to get the newest generation?

I'm pretty sure 3.5mm connector (what it said) is a standard audio connector. Don't quote me on that though.

EDIT: Done some research. You can quote me on it ;)
