Your stressful situations

Albel

Recommended Posts

Today was a very stressful day. First day of college, but I was ready to go. Turns out however, that my schedule was not set up for a music major :wall: . So I had to go and drop 2 classes, and then add 3 music classes. So a new schedule, new books, and new days of classes... to say the least I was stressed to the max

So, tell me about streeful days or situations that you have had.

I honestly don't really get stressed. Some people view that as a bad thing because then I procrastinate to no end and don't even worry about not getting something done. Sometimes stress can be a motivator in situations like that.. But it has never worked out badly for me. I always get everything done that I need to, and if for some reason I don't, it always works out fine anyway. I just don't really worry or get worked up I guess.

I've been waiting and waiting since March of this year to be told a date of when i will be going to Iraq. Found out yesterday that i leave on Tuesday. Stressful? Just a little bit. Imagine stopping your life, stopping your cell phone bill, car payments, insurances, rent or mortgages, you're job to be put into a combat zone. Just a little bit stressful. Being told an exact date 6 days in advance doesn't help.

I'm a lot like tripsis, I don't stress nearly as much as I probably should. I get into a lot of stressful situations by not being stressed. Imagine that.

Sometimes I do get stressed, though. Mainly just wondering about the future. Sometimes it's hard to paint a good picture.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Good luck.

Anyways, I tend to only stress out on finals when it's make or break for my grade, like it always is.

My stressful situation is that I'm not doing anything with my life and I just graduated. I want to make some money, but in order to get a job I need a ride. But in order to get a car, I need a job to make money for one.

Well, today was a pretty stressful day. Probly the most so I've had in a long while, if anything in my life compares to it.

1) Realized I have less than 3 months to pick and apply to the college I want to go to

2) Have to finish reading 100 pages of a book for summer reading ,then respond to it

3) Have to write an essay about drilling in Alaska or somethign to that effect

4) Remembered my drivers test is in 7 weeks, and I've yet to sign up for driving lessons

5) Got shut out of an ideal job opurtunity

6) Have to completely revamp my school schedule for next year

and finially the big one:

7) Broke up with my girlfriend of 19 months because she cheated on me.

Today sucked balls.

I'm suddenly incredibly stressed. I have 0 information on my ROTC Officer Training, which I think is next week, and which I have to be at in order to train the new kids the week after, which I need to be at to get the newbies ready for the air rifle team. I got a letter about it last year, but not this year, and the website has no information. I can probably call the instructor to see what's going on, but I have to find the number.

I don't get stressed...just angry, but it lasts a while. But now, there's really no reason to be stressed or angry for a long, along time.

I'm going back to college 12 hours away from home Friday. I'm still waiting for stress to hit me.

Then again, it's sophmore year so I doubt it's comin' until the classes start killin' me. Easiest Ivy to get in (depends on the school), hardest to stay in. Those grade inflation [kitties] at Harvard can kiss my [wagon].

Got the most important examination of my life coming this November. So far things aren't as good as I hoped for and the thought of repeating another year of studies really stresses me out.

Sometimes I really wish I can sit back and watch the cloud flow without worrying about anything.

I went camping with my year to celebrate the end of exams up one of the mountains near my city, everyone was happy, drinking and socialising when rumours started spreading round (it was quite a large camping place with about 100 odd people in my year) that people's iPods, phones, wallets and bags had been stolen by these random chavs who had heard about the school party up the mountain, they were about 17-22 years old. So people started to leave. Then there were other rumours that a few people in our year had been punched/kicked or beaten up by these chavs.

By 1am there were around 30 people (about 5 guys, the rest were girls) from our year left there and we were trying to get the tents town and gather any other random people to make our way back down the mountain in the pitch black whilst the chavs were standing about 10 metres away. They followed and chased us down the mountain with broken bottles all the way back to the edge of the city (an hour an a half's walk from the mountain).

It was the most stressful situation i've ever been in. During that night, 2 people got punched in the nose (one almost got his jaw broken), 2 girls got hit over the head with a burning log from the bon fire, 1 girl got knocked unconsious and was then repeatedly kicked in the head, another got punched in the jaw, 1 girl actually got felt up by one of the chavs and a few people were kicked, and almost everyone had something stolen off of them.

Now I'm slightly perturbed, since this morning before I could call, they called me. It's a good thing, and now I have the stuff I need, but still...that's a little too much of a coincidence for my liking. SO one stress is replaced with another.

I don't think I've really had a stressful day. I generally go with the mindset that worrying about something will do more harm than good. Things will turn out for the best if I don't rush, worry, or get upset over things in life. Simply take things slow and be sure to do what I can to help myself.

Aside from this, family deaths are always stressful to an extent.

Stress is useless. Live day by day.

Are you joking? Stress may not be enjoyable but often it's the kick you need to really buckle down and get your work done. Without stress I bet the large majority of us would flunk college, not to mention have problems in work environments throughout the rest of life.
