200M in all Skills

General discussion of what it takes to get 200M in all skills is fine, but unfair criticism, passing judgment on people you don't know, making assumptions, and bashing are not permissible.

 

 

That's fair, but where is line eh?

Am I allllowed to point out that it is unhealthy to put that many hours in the game, because its kind of bashing but it is kind of true..

 

I would love to know the total play hours of say, S U O M I or Skiller..

Over 800 I'm sure. It is true what you said but it is their life and we shouldn't really care if they ruin it or not on an online game. Yes, we know that they have very little (or no) social contact but it's their choice of living, if they like it then let 'em. Your words or anyone elses won't change their mind for sure. Also, you can't compare 20 year old people with no kids to some Asian couple. Eventually we will all realize that RS and any other computer game is a waste of time and we'll all quit. Although, we will most likely realize this ourselves and not by our friends and family annoying us about how much we play every day lol. They keep telling me that I play "A lot" even though it's like 6 hours a day on average lol... Does this happen to anyone else?

6 hours is too much, 1/4 of your day.

Just because someone gains a lot of exp doesn't mean they play 15+ hrs a day. Most of the players on the list are effcient at least to where they can get the max exp p/h in a skill etc. They have the money to burn on skills also. With new training methods released etc its viable for a new player to get 1b exp in 2 years easy if they know what they're doing money and skill wise.

 

Also they live the life style they choose. If they don't want to interact irl thats the decision they made. But you don't know if they went out irl and also played the game.

no, its been stated many times. several of the playes we do talk about do play 15+ hours a day, some do 19 at times

Why would we care if it is healthy or not? I would be fairly confident in saying that anyone shooting for this is old enough to understand. Hell, it's healthy if you can't stand people, still exercise, and playing keeps yu out of fights that could lead to prison/bodily harm/firing from job...

I'll give some insight on this discussion. Personally I think I play just about the least of any top rank. Lately only about 7-8 hours a day. When I was more motivated it was about 10-12. Did an all nighter once and promised myself I will NEVER do that again. I felt like absolute crap, I have no idea how Drumgun or Suomi do it for so long. Even though I don't play as much now my life is still kind of a mess irl. I just don't have the motivation to play 15-19 hours without feeling like I want to kill myself and I need at least 9 hours of sleep or I can't even play the game without falling asleep at some point in the chair. But that's just me. If the others want to play 15-19 hours a day I think that's a good thing. It means they have the power and motivation to do something extremely difficult that almost no one in the world can do. And we should give them credit for that. Honestly, who cares what their real life is like, if they're enjoying themself on the game that's all that matters. Life doesn't have to be what everyone thinks it does being job, college, marriage, or w/e. Personally I don't see myself ever doing those things. I don't even enjoy being alive at times lol. But that's a whole nother subject that I won't get into. Wow pretty long post for someone who doesn't write so well :P

I agree. It's been pointed out an endless amount of times, and the reality is that we know and whoever does it accepts it.

Much more interesting to see people discuss different methods of going for 5B XP. :thumbsup:

yeh people play 15+ hrs when motivated to play 15+ hrs but its a rarity to be able to do it longterm especcially for every single skill someone chooses to do or for example staying up from 12pm-4am with only 1hr break thats how long 15hrs a day is and it accually gets physically tireing to do something that long or just boredom about sleep sometimes i feel fatiged and sleep 12+ hrs in a 24 period but other times i can sleep 4-5 hrs in a 24 period and still be energized

 

10-12 is more reasonable for a motivated skiller as thats enough time for multiple short breaks from game or do something else

 

and for some extreme skilling methods ...that require lots of focus/clicking they are hard to do for long periods of tiime but for soomeone doing an afkable thing it can be done for a long time very hard to do a max exp for 10 hrs

 

and if your thinking of peoples playing habits over a few years that can change alot depending on life decisions/stuff so 15hrs a day now doesnt mean that someones life is ruined forever tbh =p

Dapledo broke 100m hunter today. He seems to be keeping up a pretty decent pace with hunter and fishing. I hope he switches to slayer soon so he doesn't end up wasting his effigy xp on the buyables. Unless he doesn't have a lot of cash saved up then he might need to investigate the buyables.

Yeah, but it is not updated, as zarfot quitted. Also keep in mind it does not take updates into account and it is most likely there are one or two new skills coming out before the first one reaches 200mil xp.

No one said how life have to be, but we know how life shouldn't be.

You are only right if, like you said, they are enjoying themselfs. Runescape isn't a drug, but it can be addictive, turning into a problem instead of way to spend some time and have fun.

Cooking is 2.3m xp per hour at 0.9gp/xp

 

Edit: I do not consider demonic thrones an option whatsoever. It's like estimating the time it would take to walk around the world 10 times.
