200M in all Skills

Discussing efficiency is the reason this thread is [DEAD]. Every time I come on to check and see if maybe there is something the least bit interesting all I see is lots of inane math that I recall from Grade 6. I don't care if a method saves you 2 ticks or the difference between 75k xp and 76.2k xp and I sure as hell don't want to read the same garbage every damn day on c2 fishing etc. Go start up a efficiency thread and stay the hell out of 200m in all skills.

Not sure if trolling, or...

They must be trolling...when you after 200M in all skills efficiency is key I assume, that 2 ticks or 1.2k, could in theory save you hours of game time in the long run

It's taking much longer because Runetrack is down :/

Use RuneTracker. It's more accurate and it isn't down.

Runetrack is to the exact xp, whereas Runetracker is to the nearest million gained. Unfortunately the only way I could use Runetracker is by looking up each skill for every person. For 15 people and 25 skills minus the 200M's that's well over 300. I will just wait another day to see if it comes back, and otherwise just go from rs hiscores.

No, lol.

I'll give you a few examples:

http://runetracker.org/track-s+u++o++m+i

http://runetracker.org/track-jake

There you can see the XP rate from them in the last 7 days (or last 168hours).

Runetrack has been down for several days now.

On my laptop I can access Runetrack =d

You can set it in Runetracker. Just go to your user page and select the skill you want to see your personal record. You can see the record in the bottom of the page.

If you hover with the mouse over a number it'll show the exact amount, so that's not that much work (not for each skill). Ex. Suomi gained 12.794.461 xp last week.

I probably should've explained before Gemeos smugly responded, that I do them from my iPod and therefore can't use runetracker to its' full potential.

I am wondering - has Suomi done livid farm? If not, would it be worth it for getting remote farming?

?

Remote farming only allows you to cure and check if it's fully grow whatever you plant. How could it be useful for Suomi?

Even with just a cursory glance, you'll note that the name of the thread is actually '200M in all Skills?', not 'Who will be first to 200M in all skills?'. That's to say that a general discussion regarding 200M in all skills would additionally encompass people who might get it after S U O M I, the fastest or most logical way to reach that end goal, other people who have that goal, and a wide breadth of other related topics.

Dead plants means less xp and so therefore, remote farm would make it more efficient?

You can pay to the gardener when planting Wood trees, Fruit trees and Calquat (which is what people plant for Farming XP).

You lose 2 growth cycles each time the plant gets diseased, so it's faster to remote farm during each growth window.

I think the time saved might be more than the time spent gaining remote farm? Also, remote farm doesn't prevent disease, so you still lose the 2 cycles if it gets diseased, because you have to cure. Don't farmers simply instant-cure the trees (basically working the same was as remote farm would?)

@myr the farmer cures the plant the cycle after it becomes diseased, so you lose 2 cycles. If you cure it yourself, it can grow during the next growth window like normal, so you save a full cycle. I doubt that its worth it, though.

It won't be worth it purely for time saving. But since Suomi has stated he plans on getting the Completionist Cape after he's 200m all surely the earlier he does livid farm the better. Although it really does depend on his goals.

What even is sleep or real life?

Poor Gemeos :(

This doesn't have anything to do with win or lose... Not like we were fighting or anything... I just meant that it doesn't seem reliable to remote farm like Hedgehog said, due to the fact people sleep and have real life.

Could someone else do the update this week? It's very annoying to do on my iPod, (without RuneTrack) as by the time in done one another has changed because of how long it takes. I'll try to finish it just in case, though.

Not to mention that (assuming you have the cash, which may or may not be true for Suomi) paying the farmer is a better option anyway, isn't it? I'm assuming you don't lose growth cycles that way, since the plant doesn't get diseased in the first place, as opposed to it getting diseased and you immediately curing it via remote farm (and thus still losing one growth cycle).

Edit: Aha:

@myr the farmer cures the plant the cycle after it becomes diseased, so you lose 2 cycles. If you cure it yourself, it can grow during the next growth window like normal, so you save a full cycle. I doubt that its worth it, though.

Regardless, if he winds up short on farm xp, Livid Farm might be worthwhile just to make progress towards comp cape and also actively earn farm xp. In-between farm runs and stuff like penguins/troll invasion, of course.

Obtained quest cape and base 92 before obtaining any 99s! Currently finishing out my 99s with the (long-distant) goal of comp cape.

Good point; never really thought of that.

My first impression would be 'no', because Jagex is moving towards an action bar. But they seem keen on rewarding players that put more effort into Runescape (points to current beta combat system), so they just might allow it.

Working on max and completionist capes.
