That I don't know, I just know that they spawn every 8 hours, but whether that is world dependant I'm not sure: I imagine different worlds have different timers. I cant be bothered to check right now though. It's still a hefty batch of free exp/day. Provided you don't do a Meamzed and get pk'd.

Yeah, farming should be finished on either Monday or Tuesday, will be glad to have it out of the way :)

 

Out of curiosity, what farm runs do you do each day?

I presume 1 fruit tree, 1 calquat, 3/4 x 5 normal trees, 6 morchellas and x amount of bushes.

Is there anything else?

Just to apply a more macro and more related spin on this, assuming you successfully complete (25 resources) 3 warbands a day, that will provide over a year (any 365 day period, rather that 1 Jan-31 Dec this year, obviously), ~132,809,265xp (I approximate because not sure whether they round up or use a floor function with their odd number results). This of course assumes level 99.

 

This is [crazy] good xp if your long term goal is 5(.4)B, or you are going to be playing for a while and want some supercharged xp.

Magics, palms, calquat, fellstalk, watermelons, ugune (ran out of the higher juju seeds)

Each world runs on an independent 8 hour timer (with variation, so I'd be inclined to say 8-8.5), and these are scattered. To check if there is a world up (no timer given, just a yes or no like with Familiarisation) you can talk to Quercus:-

I find it easiest to lurk in one of the 2 major FCs (King Warband or Warband FC) until one (three) is called, giving a call when I pass Quercus if I do. That, or do it in conjunction with others.

 

Editing:-

The only problems of course, are that you may be PK'd, or that you loot the wand, in which case you [will] be PK'd. If you die with loot, it counts as 1 of 3 daily warbands, and you won't get xp. If you manage to loot wand after some supplies AND make it out alive (nice pro), you lose that 1 warband so 0-25 supplies, which of course impacts xp.

It has changed to 3[camps]/day at any time.

 

Isn't it funny how the most game changing updates go past with not but a whimper and ppl [bleep] about the most insignificant changes?

 

warbands is 200m farm cons herb & mine/smith in about 7 years, for free, at 1.4m exp (minimum) per hour. Legit for people who love dailies like myself, but I don't see how it hasn't merited more discussion.

Maybe the factor of uncertainty (wilderness) puts people off? Even with all those FCs there's always that hanging risk, I guess.

 

 

Meh, if you're smart about it, the risk is effectively 0 and the reward is huge. Maybe people will figure it out in 3 months time \:D/

When I trained prayer several years ago, I watched the entire Star Wars saga to retain my sanity. But that was back in the day when nobody gave a shit about efficiency. If I had to do it over again, I would. EXCEPT MORE EFFICIENTLY:

Is Drumgun playing 20 hours a day or something? O_o

i remember that he used to play 19 hrs a day for more then 4 years and now "slowed down" to 17hrs.

but he's drumgun, you never know how far he can go, i remember him having a 150 hrs week and some 600hrs months

Instead of picking up charms to have the daggs cluster around me - I'll just pick up laws and natures now. (doing laws and crimsons now, around 600 laws/h)

 

Why would you bother picking up 50k worth of loot per hour?

 

Not for the loot - but the movement makes dagganoths cluster rather then line up.

 

I used to do that picking charms - now i do so with runes. It's not for the value - which isn' all that great for the effort taken - but 600 laws is 120k/h which is a nice bonus to help pay for the bloods, and it does help my efficiency around there.

Thanks for the clarification, and I agree Warbands update should be a way more discussed.

 

Over a group of us (~10 accounts), the group I usually do them with is averaging a 12 minutes for 3 warbands (this will likely blow out when we start to fail, and yes, stat minors and people who want an argument, it's not a large enough sample, calm your [bleep]), which WBs currently (at 99) we are getting 1.8m/h (all maxed, of course this changes with lower levels, and more failures).

 

Saving roughly 16 hours of mining - which does influence smith/mage timesaved - for every hour of mining warbands done. Of course, the numbers will change as time progresses and we've got a larger sample, and obviously different with <99.

 

Stolen notes from Wiki:-

  • Assuming players hand in 25 Skill supplies from each warband, it would take a player participation in 148 warbands (minimum 50 days) to go from level 1 to level 99 in a skill.
  • Assuming players hand in 25 Skill supplies from each warband, it would take a player participation in 1685 warbands (minimum 562 days) to go from level 1 to 200 million experience in a skill.

Argument easily made that it's OP, but when you factor in the risk - PK will result in nothing, you can fail to get 25 (camps dying before looting finished/you get a wand, which in reality more often than not leads to being PK'd), the reward needs to match the perceived risk (even though most people risk nothing but things looted). I fully expect a nerf AT SOME POINT (knowing Jagex, 12-18 months), but also fits in line with the previous arguments made towards reducing botting by attacking one reason behind it (bad xp/h rates, too attention demanding) or too costly (hey I'll just buy cash for Smith/Farm/Con).

 

Ehh, I'll probably have more later to rage about.
