So 2 hours of butterflies is 83k agility xp and 218k hunter xp

1 hour of normal training is 120k(?) Agility and 350k hunter.

Yeah, and how exactly is hunter 350k xp/h without using pots? If you suggest that your trap setup is any different from the normal one, please make a one hour video showing that 350k is possible.

Do energy pots still work for hunting?

My technique:

You'll notice that in the first 4 hours that I posted, it's an average of like 340k xp/hour, but I didn't have trouble averaging 350k once I got used to it. I think I recorded more hours, but I'm not really in the mood to hunt through my drive account right now. I plan on tracking my xp rates this summer to find a more accurate rate, but I consider 350k a good estimate for now.

If you seriously don't believe me, just try it. Unless you mess up majorly, you'll notice a significant increase in xp/hour. If you reply to this post without trying it, there is a 100% chance that I'll just ignore you.

If you'd like, I can post the proof that it's the best setup, but I'd like to wait until I'm done with exams (this Thursday) to do so.

As far as I know, yes. I think Jagex said something about it being ban-worthy, though, but I don't remember. They're incredibly annoying to use, regardless.

I thought that the hunter averaged out from 310k-330k p/hr, as with hunter it depends on the number of normal ones you catch, as they make your xp rate vary. Also does your xp ph/r rate factor in the time spent getting corrupt vines?

Do energy pots still work for hunting?

Use hunter pots which are 100gp ea, boosts your hunter level + looks less suspicious.

310-330k was with foot's setup, which is literally one of the worst possible setups. I don't think my average of 350k took the time to make potions into account, but it was a pretty conservative estimate, but you only end up spending like 100 seconds per hour making the potions, so they're not a huge deal. It's like 8k less xp/hour at most.

Anyway, hunter xp/hour doesn't need to be too accurate in this scenario. First of all, the butterfly xp/hour already has a pretty large error range, so adding an error of <10% isn't going to do much. Second, he just wanted a general idea of how efficient it was. That is, he just wanted to know if hunting butterflies was efficient, so using 330k or 350k as your value for hunter xp/hour won't matter.

And the xp rate is determined by how few commons you can, rather than how many. With my technique, you spawn camp 2 draconics until a common jadinko comes in and ruins the party. Despite that, warding off commons isn't a good idea because you'll get 0-300k instantaneous xp/hour if a draconic wanders off. Not to mention that getting the vines takes a long time. Basically, think of commons as decent when there are no draconics or 1 draconic around, but terrible when there are 2 draconics. You can only effectively catch 2 jadinkos at once.

I've moved posts on Jebrim's warning here because they were (getting) a bit off-topic. I've also removed the posts about image hosts - feel free to discuss them here. Please stay on topic, which means "200m in all skills", minus all the topics that we previously got flamewars over, plus any topic that we haven't had a flamewar over yet, but will cause one anyway. I realize that doesn't leave you with a whole lot of options, but that's mostly up to you ;).

That's cool as heck.

Wonder how much of it is boosted/passive/bonus XP though. Like who's actively training Summoning before the DXPW? How much of that 500M daily gain is actually consuming charms?

6Ij0n.jpg

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Warband skills would collectively be in about 3rd place, which makes sense considering how easy it is to get HP xp and that you can get 600k dg xp every day

If you mean through dailies, thats 178k xp from your challenge, and then 422k from sinkholes? It's sort of difficult for everyone to get that amount of xp from sinkholes consistently, unless I'm missing a daily which I think I am.

No, you're on the right track. I assumed 200k from the challenge (you also get xp from doing the floor) and 400k from sinkholes, but I forgot to account for the fact that not everyone can get that much xp from sinkholes. Still, it doesn't surprise me, considering that there are a few thousand people getting 200k+ xp per day. Not to mention that it's one of the most popular skills in the game.

I estimated that warbands bring in about 1b xp per day, so it's interesting that mining has basically that much, and I'd be surprised if more than 30% of the mining xp in a day comes from actual training. It just isn't a popular skill, with or without warbands.

Another topic that arose was that Wilderness Warbands players would only vote to keep them as they are, as more worlds means more events. I looked into this, and found that throughout the duration of the world reduction poll 7656 unique players had played Warbands.

This is a quote from some game analyst that works for Jagex.

The vote ran for 7 days, in which time 7656 unique players did warbands.  Lets just assume every single one of them does warband daily.

If every one of those 7656 players got 75/75 loots and had the warbandable skills at 99, the total xp gained would be 2,785,731,300 or almost 2.8B. That figure doesn't include whatever slayer/combat/prayer/summoning xp is gained from beam and clearing the camp.

In reality though I doubt even half of those actually do it daily. Also 75/75 isn't guaranteed either.  1B xp a day actually sounds pretty close to what it probably is..

I'd say around 60% of mining is from actual training. Your current context is that you don't do warbands, and the individuals you do know farm it for the mining xp. I do warbands with a fc which isn't full of maxed players, and found that mostly herb/farm was the most looted camp. Most of the time when I did wbs last week <5 were looting mining in my fc, out of 40. And there was 15+ looting farming/herb/smith. The reason why so little people (unmaxed) will wb mining is because they can go afk at lrc, but they don't have the gp to buy 99 herb/farm/smith/con respectively. However, it would be interesting to see the exact amounts of how much experience comes from warbands per day, I think the results would be surprising....

You have a fair point on people doing warbands to remove buyables, while maxed players will do mining as it is the most efficient time-wise. I don't think we can really say for certain how much of the daily mining experience is warbands without data from jagex themselves. There's really no point speculating on it everyone knows that warbands gives a ton of xp.
