Pinkbullet3
These past few days, I've been having a real urge to drive fast like the Mini Coopers in the Italian Job. (I know, real odd.) Overall, I enjoy driving games, even though I only have 1 driving game (NFS Hot Pursuit 2 for GameCube; GC being the only system I own). I've been looking at Forza 3 and NFS Shift and they both look pretty exciting, even though they won't come out of GC, but I think it'd be cool to try playing them with a racing wheel and pedals. Your thoughts on driving games? PS: (There was another thread called 'Racing games' but my Avast! antivirus somehow detected malware in someone's avatar (wtf?) and so I'm not bumping that thread.) Poppet
I'm not the biggest fan of them, but Burnout: Paradise was an incredible game. If I remember correctly Burnout Revenge was better than that.

Hobgoblinpie
I find V-Rally 3 on PS2 quite addictive, as well as Gran Turismo 4, where I did a 5 minute lap of the nurburgring with the Sauber C9 Mercedes :D I spent a lot of my life going around the nurburgring in many different cars on that game, including a marathon 14 hour session just doing the nurburgring with all different GT cars. It was epic fun. POH Agility Course, Please Support!
gauper_kid
Mario Kart is probably one of the funnest games I've ever played.
PoorLepRecon
I'm not the biggest fan of them, but Burnout: Paradise was an incredible game. I have that game sitting in my collection. I haven't gotten around to playing it yet, but the demo was a blast. I like racing games on occasion. I prefer Mario Kart over the realistic racers though. Pkmastachaos
Only played a few, not really a big fan of them. But I found Need for Speed: Carbon was alright. (I still to this day play Mario Kart on my N64, which is probably the funnest racing game I've ever played, or ever will.)
nine naked men
Yeah, the Burnout series is hilariously fun, esp. w/the Takedown stuff in it. On an unrelated note, I read the topic title as Drinking Games. :< sleep like dead men wake up like dead men

Brad25891
Burnout Revenge was one of my favourite racing games ever. Paradise seemed like a step down from Revenge in terms of Fun-ness. Shiny
Burnout 3: Takedown. I loved that game, even though it wasn't that great. Just great fun to cause mayhem, you have to take every opportunity you can. I think it is a unanimous that Burnout is awesome.

unkn0wnwarrior
I like to play driving games once in a while. Need For Speed comes to mind, although it is starting to get boring. But for me, nothing will ever surpass Mario Kart. Especially for SNES and N64, although the Wii one (with the Wii Wheel) is pretty crazy.

Uldric
The trackmania series. Insane jumps, tracks etc. Kind of an arcadish game in that there's no car collision and you're racing against the clock.
runescapeloser22
The Project Gotham Racing series were my favorite realistic driving games. Burnout is good, but not realistic at all.
nerdboyxxx
Don't really like racing games, except the ones where the aim is to destroy your opponent's car (those are the Burnout ones right? I have one of them on PS2 :P).
Verminox
Gran Turismo and Ridge Racer for driving. For destroying cars then twisted metal. I need to get Wipeout HD at some point, looks so damn good.

Danqazmlp
Very big racing game fan here. I think i've owned every major TOCA game, from the original touring cars through to Race driver: Grid. I've not been a fan of the Burnout series after the second, i liked how the first was actually realistic, and the crashes were not everything. The newer ones are just too unrealistic for me. If i want an unrealistic driving game, i've got Flatout on the 360 to satisfy my crazy side. Definately one of the most fun games i've ever played. It just has so much in it, and so much carnage.
