tintdawg
If you don't like American Football then don't click on this topic, there problem solved. As for me I am huge Packers fan, can't wait for the upcoming game against the vikings. The Packers will win if they can protect Rodgers, he is playing great, but, most likely Jared Allen will have another big game and will force a bunch of miscues, but the are playing at Lambeau so who knows what will happen. IeatWindex
I don't like american football, I also hate how its called football. They should rename it, us english people had it first.I must agree with the name problem, seeing as the only kicking im aware of is punting. Should of been like handball or something >.< Otherwise it's a fun game that requires just as much hardwork as any other sport, just much more dangerous. Diesel
What have been your pleasant surprises and disappointments so far this year? Surprises: Bengals, Vikings/Favre, Disappointments: Titans, L.T., Bills, Eagles Any chances for another team to go winless again this year? I think it's quite possible. Also, since it's American Football in general, would this include College Football? Last.Fm My Bloggy Proud to have served on Tip.it Crew
Skull
G men are doing fairly well this year. Unfortunate loss Sunday, but it's no big deal. [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp
IeatWindex
Thanks for the reminder, I'll get a college feature in aswell. Anyways im die hard Patriots and some Cardinals. Both those teams went to the Superbowl in the past 2 years, and both lost by last minute slip ups :[
wwezach
Steelers all the way!!! Stinks they are on a bye. Hopefully this forum does well, it's a good idea. What about fantasy football? Will that be included here as well?

depresins
I'm going to a punting camp early next year when I'm in the states, to show off my skills and to teach some college guys a thing or two. Hopefully I'll be picked up and I'll become like one of those middle-management types who do virtually nothing all day every day but get paid an exorbitant amount for doing something they hate. unkn0wnwarrior
I must agree with the name problem, seeing as the only kicking im aware of is punting.Kickoffs (start of each half and after each scoring play), Field Goals (after touchdowns or in punt situations near the goal line) and Punts. That's all I can think of right now. I chose the Patriots when I watched it for the first time about 7 years ago, and have stuck with them since. I don't watch the game much, maybe one or two games a year, but I still consider myself a fan. As for personal experiences, I have never played outside of gym class, and never ran once while playing then. I just walked past the 1st Down marker and caited for the throw. I got the winning touchdown one day doing that.
IeatWindex
I'll share an experience too. So I play Wide reciever for my freshman team. I did not recieve the starting position. Our starter got injured, so I got put in. The QB threw the ball to another reciever and he got it and started running for the TD and I was running with him. So he trips on himself and loses the ball in the air. I manage to take it in the air and score. Best.Moment. EVER.

I've only had two plays where a catch got tipped backwards to me and another person on the opposite team laterolled (however you spell it) without looking and it went right to me. Anybody play fantasy football and what do you think of Larry Johnson and the investigation?

I like you. Cant wait for this game. Biggest game of the season (at least in my opinion). The Packers were pretty close to beating the Vikings last time in the end. They held Peterson to only 55 yards which is a plus. Hopefully they can do the same thing again, but this time with more protection for Rodgers. I'm also interested in the reception for Brett Favre. I was there when he got traded, and it seemed like most of Green Bay hated him then.... As for this season, it has been alright, I think. The Broncos and the Bengals are pretty good.. as for the Titans? What happened?
IeatWindex
The PAT's better go to the Super Bowl, and they better win it. They have the talents, they just need to focus and not get lazy. The Patriots are good and need to work just as hard as a team thats not very good.

Kyle
I'm a huge Patriots fan too. I live very close to their home stadium so they are my home team. (Also a Celtics fan) We dont even talk about the 16-1 season. Now that Brady is back and is throwing well again its gonna be a fun season. The sad thing is that football season is so short, the season is pretty much half over already. http://www.runehead.com/clans/personal. ... clan=tipit
IeatWindex
I live next to the stadium aswell 0.o Im pretty sure there going to the Superbowl this year. FunPhish
The only thing I can think to say at a time like this is.. Roll Tide! But seriously, it's been some what of a cut-and-dry season in the NCAA. Then again probobly not, I'm just spoiled because the last 2-3 seasons have been so wild. Oregon pulled off a GREAT win vs. USC last night. Easily the worst I've ever seen USC loose, and the worst loss for them under the Pete Carrol era. I don't know where this leaves Oregon in the BCS Championship race, 1 loss, confrence champs, yet the 1 loss is to an undefeated Boise, so where does that leave Boise? It's all so confusing, a playoff would leave so many less people with headaches.

wwezach
Wow, what a day. St louis finally wins, Tennessee wins (Thank you Chris Johnson for 35 fantasy points), Ravens beat the Broncos, Vikings beat the Packers. Crazy. Hopefully I can win my fantasy football matchup. I'm leading by 9 points with Mike Bell left to play fo me and my opponent has Roddy White left. And me and my friend's team did horrible in our league for our club. We ended up with about 60 points. I wonder what will happen with Steve Slaton. Any ideas?

wwezach
Can anyone explain the concept of fantasy football? I always hear of but I have no idea what it is.I personally have only ever played Fantasy Baseball, but essentially there is a "draft" where you pick players. Depending on how well they play, you get points, and the person with the most points wins. But it's more complicated than that. What I just said was like saying, in football, two teams try to get the ball into the endzone. There's far more to it.Yes fantasy football can be complicated. You have to look at depth charts, watch out for injuries, look at websites for projections, rankings, and advice. Can be very tough at times especially with bye weeks. And for the Cowboys-Eagles game, go Eagles!!!!
IeatWindex
So give me some feedback here guys. Do you find the standings chart useful? Are there any other things you'd guys prefer? i.e. team rosters, upcoming games, etcetera.
