stevepole
DIscussion of the 2010-2011 NBA season begins on page 8. Discussion of the 2011-2012 NBA season begins here.--------------------------------------------------------------- Today marks the start of the 09-10 season. After losing the Seattle Sonics to Oklahoma City I have become an avid fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers. I love watching Lebron James play. He is an amazing player and this year with Shaq I don't see how the Cavs can't go all the way this year. The Cavs kick off their season in a few hours against the Celtics, which should be a great game!
Kilo
You must be crazy, I saw there pre season game against the celtics, and Shaq was looking tired. Celtics are bringing the 18th title back to Boston this year. Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Oscar Wilde

Wasn't the best game though they could have played better on both sides.
Zygimantas
Hornets at Spurs tonight. I want to see in what shape the Spurs are in. Hopefully the Hornets can wear them down, because Bulls play the Spurs tomorrow. :) 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010
Gbpackers31
Utah Jazz!! Woo! They play tonight against the Nuggets. Hopefully then can pull out a win against a tough division rival tonight. Though, to be honest, despite me loving the Jazz, the NBA is... a very strange and corrupt league. Here's a link to what I'm talking about... http://deadspin.com/5392067/excerpts-from-the-book-the-nba-doesnt-want-you-to-read Even though that sort of stuff happens, I still cant help but like the NBA. It's too much fun, even if the refs are corrupt....

There may have been more refs as well, but I'm not sure. I think they got fired because of the betting. The other topics mentioned in that link seem right though - Star treatment and lack of foul calls sometimes seem too suspicious, as if they do it on purpose. Oh well. unkn0wnwarrior
I don't follow the sport very much, but I picked the Raptors because they are the only Canadian team. And they won last night, as did my second team, the Suns.
Zygimantas
Oh yeah, they beat the Cavs. It is the Cavs first 0-2 start since 2004. I like the Suns now because Amare is on my fantasy team. Which reminds me, anyone here have a fantasy basketball team? 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010

Zygimantas
Bulls had a good game last night, the Spurs looked very tired. A lot of games tonight, should be an interesting day in the NBA and fantasy basketball. Bulls at Celtics, should be a tough one for the Bulls, very tough. 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010
decebal
I'm a Raptors Fan through and through. Although for the Championship, I pick Lakers to win it all. I was actually at the Cavs-Raps game, it was AWESOME! Bargnani killed it with his efficiency (for some reason though, he hit his 3's, but missed a dunk). Calderon, Bosh, and Turkoglu though didn't have a good shooting night, but they all made it up somehow in another stat. As for LBJ, he looked broken down by the third when they started pulling themselves back in the game. Tbh, he sucked, even though he got a triple double. All in all though it was a good game, I literally lost my voice because I cheered the Raps too much, and it hasn't come back fully yet. P.S. The Refs were crap. Seriously, Bargnani got called for TWO offensive fouls in a row, and the second one FOR SURE wasn't a foul, yet he still had to sit down when he was on a roll, giving the Cavs the chance to get back in the game. I am starting to believe Tim Donaghy.... Btw, for anybody watching the game on whatever channel you guys saw it on, how loud were we? :P
stevepole
I didn't get a chance to watch the Cavs-Raps game, I was busy watching the World Series. I honestly didn't even know they played that night ha. I found out the next morning when I friend posted on my facebook wall saying both my teams failed (Yankees & Cavs). The Cavs have a couple easy games ahead of them so they hopefully they'll start to get their act together. I'm looking forward to the Bulls-Celtics game but I'll probably watch the lakers game if they are on at the same time.

Lucky them, Toronto has an EXTREMELY tough first month, with Orlando on Sunday. Hopefully though, Vince Carter will go 0-13 in that game ;)
stevepole
I ended up missing the first half of the Bulls-Celtics game but there wasn't much of a game the Celtics raped. I'm SO glad the Mavs won tonight! I now talk some mad [cabbage] to my friend! Oh and the Cavs won. Looking forward to the Portland game my number 2 team since they are sorta my home team now.. Zygimantas
Yea, the Bulls got crushed. I found myself watching the first half and not really watching the 2nd after I realized there is no way the Bulls will be able to comeback. The Lakers game was surprising, it was actually entertaining to watch just to see if the Lakers were going to comeback. During some parts in the 2nd half I thought they might, but the Mavs just didn't give up their lead. Can't watch any games today, because Chicago isn't playing and no games are on national T.V. They could at least put something up on NBA TV. Looking forward to Bulls at Heat tomorrow. 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010
