Me_Hate_Libs
Or does it seem like every time now we have a no update week it seems to come the week after we had a rather negligible update so it often feels like two weeks without an update. Also note, this is not a rant on them not having updates, but what I think is rather poor update scheduling. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd. Jehosaphat
I guess that depends on your definition of negligible. Personally, I think that since Mechscape got stopped, the updates have been better. So who knows, maybe this time they'll kill merch clans, or maybe FTP3. But yeah, I kinda agree with you that every week after a no-update week so far has been rather... bleh. Although if you read the RSOF Rants forums, nothing is ever bleh. Ever. Ravenkana
If this was Wednesday/Thursday, you'd have a point. They announced that this week would not have an update. If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?

Oh yeah, I'm not someone who complains about the days they choose to release, although in all the blogs I've yet to see a reason why they happen late week now. That's not a criticism but merely my own curiousity on the subject. Last week's update was rather bleak and also took all of 15 minutes. Now it's a week with no update which is lame in itself. Next week will probably be a lame update as well, but whatever. Powerpig.. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd. swampjedi
The thing with software scheduling is that it's hard. Things that you KNOW should take no time take ages due to unavoidable things like dev staff taking vacations, or getting the flu, or getting reprioritized, or quitting. So when these updates come in at unpredictable times, and you wonder if they're just being daft on how they're ordering updates... the reality is, some project that was due this week slipped. Story of my life, actually. Frustrating, but understandable. My Goals and Achievements

Me_Hate_Libs
well, I don't think they do it on purpose, but they certainly don't seem to be as upset about it when they do it as they used to. Also maybe one of the reasons I felt annoyed this time around was because it was an update with a defined update period instead of the usual "it's released when it's ready" bit they usually go by. They have to be capable of a little bit of planning if they can release the Halloween update during a scheduled two week period. This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd. Rachellove9
They update sometimes things that they don't tell us too. Like the random event packages you have in your banks can not be used for exp lamps anymore. This totally disappointed me.
Gorgemaster
Well the thing is what may seem like a rubbish update to you may really impress someone else and cause a lot of satisfaction in another player... Me_Hate_Libs
Again, my rant wasn't about the updates, but more specifically update planning. After today's, it felt rather grim.
