Flamewhisker Posted November 26, 2009 Share Posted November 26, 2009 So yesterday, I get my first 99 (Hunter) after going at it for months (only hunting on weekends). I never used a bot or thought of using one a day in my life! I really hunted chins for hours on end so I could finnially have myself a skill cape. Then I go to the impling mini game and i'm attempting to figure it out (first time lol) and some person logs in and starts to go after implings too. Then when she was running by me she said "bot" I was like wtf and I walk up to her and say that just because i have a 99 doesn't mean i'm a bot! She then goes on to say that everyone does it "and its not like they are illegal" That last part just got me really mad.... They ARE illegal!! And I know from experience that many people use them, I reported a lot of people for botting, but just because alot of people use them doesn't mean its ok!! *sigh* I just needed to vent this... I was really proud of my hard work towards a 99 and that nub calling me a bot was like a slap in the face for no reason :angry: Please click and warm up my egg. I'm accused of botting my way to 94 Mining almost every day, especially because I'm F2P. Try not to let it get to you. Let the more immature and foolish bot their way to the top. They'll spend the entire time worrying that they'll try to log in one day only to find they've been banned and that 99 they broke the rules to get will be gone. You know you did it the right way. Ya know, I think it's the players that make bots look bad. using them to scam people for money, auto type the most useless drivel, and swarm tactic things. I wish there was a game for just bots. But if they're always moving in the same, predictable pattern while not responding there's a good chance it might be. I see it all the time in the Mining guild (mining coal to superheat loads of addy or mith gives you lots of time to notice odd behavior) .They move in the same two or three patterns and then run off to the same spot by the ladder and simply stand there for a while before going up. If it only happened once in a while it would be less suspicious, but every time? I'm sure the same kind of thing happens during woodcutting as well. Why bother to listen to some immature and foolish idiot who you don't even know anyway? People who use bots don't get a sense of accomplishment unless they don't have a conscience, whereas those who got their stats with their own effort feel happy when they get a 99. I'd always say hey and have a bit of a chat and all that. I rarely venture off world 112. But it must really suck. They can't get 99 hunter, so they want to call you bot. They've all started to turn accept aid off as well so I can't teleother them to block their botting. You can report people who are moving in predictable patterns even if they are not talking. Also don't take that other person's insults too personally.I tend to insult other slayer's around me just so I can have the slayer spot & monsters to myself.It works %99 of the time... they log & hop. I used to get accused of auto-clicking on the way to 99 magic because I could type sentences without skipping a beat on my alching. Lots of people think you have to stop alching to type sentences out. I'd never use a bot, just don't want to risk my 137 cb 2000+ total level account. I used to get offended when people accused me of cheating, but now that it's over, I don't care about it at all. It's a good feeling of achievement to never cheat, never use a bot. It feels good to never have to have somebody else get that fire cape for you or do a quest like Summer's End for you. But it does need to be taken care more than it has. It has to be hard for Jagex though, but even more annoying for the player who actually spent the time to level it up right.
