Silver_Corner
I'd stay with the normal prayer book. I'll admit I haven't used the curse book ALOT, but enough to put me off using it as a casual monster killing book. The reflect curses don't really reflect much damage at all (less than a recoil, I'd say) and whenever you're hit there's an annoying animation delay (like when you use d claw specs). Then again I've only got 80 prayer, I have no idea if 90+ prayer makes curses worthwhile in casual monster killing. This update was not really designed for the casual monster killing, nor was it designed for low-mid level players. All of the curse effects are really targeted for fighting things with high defense and offense. Both high level PvP and Boss monsters fit into this category. Your average slayer wont find much use for the curses but a Bandos team will find them lifesaving.Players hunting bosses such as Armadyl may even start requiring a player using Sap Mage, simply because its so useful for taking down bosses faster while reducing damage taken. Draconic
Again, a note to all the people having trouble completing the Frostenhorn place- The Ice Demon and the Icefiends are very weak to stab. The prayers, as stated above, are not meant for casual monster-killing or training; they're meant for bosses and PvP (though i don't PvP). Just using sap range as a tanker made it way easier at Graar; the kills were proven to be faster (by me and a little testing). Leech defense is even better for tanking, as I can also boost my own defense. In fact, 4 people (your average highish level team) using leech defense can lower a boss's defense by 68%. That is significant. Argh, slow down Jagex, too much stuff! I have a goal of 82 Herblore (for Extreme Anti-fires, for owning dragons and bumping Steels from my block list), and 80 prayer now too :o Not like I'll finish either, though all of my XP lamps and Penguin Points are going to herblore, as that is harder to do (I only need to kill 4,500 dragons for 80 prayer, but a lot less than that since I can sell the hides). Not to mention training my combat stats up through slayer, get 70 RCing for all +70 (though tears are doing that, never mind), getting 96 Summoning eventually, and whatever else. When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.

Lielac
So, we have the normal, l33t-f0r-combat, and non-combat spellbooks. We now have normal and l33t-f0r-combat prayerbooks. Who thinks I'm not completely crazy for thinking we might be getting a new prayerbook eventually that has things like 'bless crops' and 'protect from traps'? Hell, who thinks I AM completely crazy? Hell, who thinks I AM completely crazy?I think you're crazy if you think it'll be a prayerbook. J-Mods have said in Q&A that those kinds of things are better as one-off spells. Also, there already is a "bless crops"-like spell in that "non-combat" spellbook you mentioned (basically its supercompost). You can treat diseased crops from the Lunar book as well. "Incapacitate Trap" might be a new spell they could add, though, I'll give you that. A little more on-topic: I'm loving the new prayers, with almost enough for 92 banked. I plan on using it whilst Slaying things like Waterfiends. *******"All that is gold does not glitter..."

The Dark Lord
Okay, I went to bed after finishing the Barrows icon part, but I got up this morning and finished the Frostenhorn part. I thought that the Frozen Fortress was quite easy and fun. Hell, I might use it as a hangout place. The final cutscene was also very much worth it. The dark mage at the Abyss [cabbage] bricks. :P As far as the Ice Demon went, he was extremely easy when I used 81 range, diamond bolts(e), and a ranging potion. I barely missed him (only hit a couple 0s), and the hits that didn't fail landed him some high damage. I strongly recommend using diamond bolts(e) and a rune crossbow on him. Thanks for all the help! :) SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.

Who thinks I'm not completely crazy for thinking we might be getting a new prayerbook eventually that has things like 'bless crops' and 'protect from traps'? Hell, who thinks I AM completely crazy? I don't think we will ever see a non-combat prayerbook. Prayer as a skill is strictly combat only, whereas magic is a combination of combat and non-combat elements, where you would find something like 'bless crops' (a.k.a. Fertile Soil [Lunar]) and 'protect from traps'. What we have here is a prayer book focused on improving your own stats, and a prayerbook focused on lowering or benefiting from your opponent's stats, with a bit of leeway. Still, you can never have too many ideas for prayers and spells. ~ W ~
The Dark Lord
By the way, Zaros isn't back yet. If you talk to Azzanadra after the quest and ask if he's back, he'll tell you that he can only communicate with him, but he will be back soon. As minor as these things are, they prove the 'combat only' skills CAN change.

Flyingjj
Yea, the icedemon's no trouble. I died once (cb 105), but that's only cause I spent too much time figuring out the puzzle and used too much food/p pots on the ice/waterfiends. As long as you have enough prayer when you get to him, just pray mage and sit back and watch him die, if slowly.

Draconic
i was testing the super antifires this week. And of course I didn't take the time. But it seemed they lasted the normal time. As in quite long. Gasp, of course! Get 82 herblore first, stew up and make a bunch of extreme anti-fires, go to the new Steel Dragons, and completely rape them with my Zam Spear. Bank the bones (it really isn't the far from a bank (will have to remember forinthry braclet (sp) though)), and continue till I have enough for 80 prayer. That'll take a while, buuuuuut.... I'll probably get a visage or something. Or some D Legs at least. That'll cut off a good portion of the kills (will keep first visage, though). It's the perfect plan! Now, just to get 82 Herblore... When you go feather dragon god, you never go back.
meili
Uh not sure if this will be useful for my 85 prayer. :ohnoes: Still, I do like the idea of a new prayer book. magzar
One thing that I thought about at the end of the quest was Zaros mentioning his faithful. If you talk to azzanadra after the quest he refers to you as "faithful one" and at some point says that Zaros requires us in the future. I may be off base here but it seems to me that maybe we will be acting as some sort of vessel for Zaros to return. On further thought I considered that for Zaros to regain his power, wouldn't Zamorak have to lose his? Imagine If Zaros were to enter our body, and through us, battle and defeat Zamorak. It would be the first time in runescape that we would ever truly face a god (an avatar of Bandos doesn't count in my opinion) From what it seems, we may also have been completely wrong about Zaros' alignment. Azzanadra certainly isn't evil, and he seems to suggest that Zaros isn't either. He speaks of Zaros using the terms, order and Justice. I'm intrigued. I'm a Guthix guy through and through, but I'm beginning to think that Zaros is much less like Zamorak than we may have been led to believe. [hide]Damnit, I tripped over Magzar's half inflated blow-up doll and hurt myself. I wish he wouldn't leave that thing lying around. -.-[/hide]

Dormado
I too noticed Zaros asking about us "have I found my faithful"?, and Azzanadra calling us that, but what's most intrigued me was the great city of Sennisten that stood above. I wish we could gaze upon it's might... oh and about god alignments, lets use DnD system: Saradomin - lawful good Zamorak - chaotic evil Guthix - Neutral Zaros - either lawful evil, or neutral good. The clock is ticking, and your time is running out, mortals.
