1unahtreiloh
I find it funny how it casues so much heavy debate. When all that really is needed is someone to go and test it and come back with a simply conclusive yes or no. It's already conclusive. the part of her statement 'Of the Fight Caves' implies that you can't kill regular Tzharr for the task. Punitive_D
Well, if Kuradal were only asking if you wanted to improve their quantity, and not switch the kind of monsters to kill, then she would say if you wanted to kill 84 volcanic creatures from the start, and then ask if you wanted it increased to 280. That way if you wanted to kill 84 TzHaar you could, as they would count as volcanic creatures, but then if you wanted to kill more, you also could. But, by using the word TzHaar in the initial task, she specifies that TzHaar are NOT volcanic creatures. Not necessarily. If it were not for the "of the fight caves" laguage, it would be possible to interpret her as broadening the task rather than shifting it. In other words, perhaps the volcano is filled with lots of different kinds of "volcanic creatures," and she proposes an assignment of only one type -- tzhaar, but then she thinks of expanding it to cover another type as well. In this way, changing from "kill 84 tzhaar" to "kill 280 volcanic creatures" is consistent with the idea of simultaneously increasing and broadening the assignment. TheLad1
If it helps, my 1st task from Kuradal was TzHaar's & I upgraded to 280. I then proceded to kill a few normal TzHaars to get some charms, thinking 280 is plenty of kills to allow me to get to Jad during task. I then checked & noticed that when you upgrade to the 'special' task you do not receive any slayer xp for killing the normal TzHaars. At this point I went into Fight cave to kill Jad, however, to my dismay I killed the final 360 & then saw the message 'Task Completed you have been awarded 18 points etc'. I was so shocked that I was not going to kill Jad during task I missed my pray & got 2 hit :) I'm therefore guessing that any kills on normal ThZaar whilst on 280 task count as kills however don't earn any Slayer Xp. Incorrect; I made the mistake of killing Tzhaar (8 to be precise,) after finishing caves and killing Jad. Tzhaar in no way affect your task xp, task numbers - only monsters inside the fight cave count in the slightest. Perhaps if you killed Jad you would have gotten the 25k bonus! Just because the message appeared it doesn't mean it invalidated Jad. If your info is right, then 280 is the exact number of creatures there are to kill before Jad. Let's say they made it so you had to kill 281 creatures (the 280 + Jad). If you killed the final 360 but then FAILED Jad, you'd have to go back to the cave just to kill ONE Tz-Kih (the fire bat). That would be annoying. So Jagex made it exactly 280 so you wouldn't have to go back if you failed Jad. But Jad still probably counts. I knew you would say that, because I had thought the same thing too. But if Jagex had the intention to broaden your task, they would have made it so Kuradal clarified that aspect. They would have made her clearly state that you can now kill, besides the TzHaar, the creatures in the Fight Caves, the same way that, as other users have shown, the clarified you have to kill 280 volcanic creatures of the fight caves. Gravy
If it matters, theres 272 monsters in the cave if you kill no healers. (At least, I'm fairly certain.) pokemama
I'm sorry I did not see this whole argument sooner, lol. I had the same questions that you did. These have all been tested by reliable sources, including a Tip.it admin. <3: If you are on a Fight Caves/Jad task, TzHaar in the city do not count, only the ones in the Fight Caves. If you fail to kill Jad, you can still go back in to the Fight Caves to kill a few and complete your task. Again, this has been tested. it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. Dragonlordjl
Excellent. It seemed crazy to build this awesome new dungeon where its only feasible for one person per world to train at a time. More spawns=winBut the Greater Demons and Iron Dragons are still problematic. Hell, with extreme pots and Turmoil, one person can kill every single greater demon spawn by himself before they respawn. With more than two people at either Irons or Greaters, you end up having to wait for spawns. Not good.
UserOnRS
Hey there, I'm glad you liked my answers . Further to them, it's also worth mentioning/clarifying the following: -I've had a word with Kuradal, she's going to be assigning Dagannoths next week.-As said, she'll be rounding up a few more hellhounds and greater demons. (hellhounds will also have a "normal" respawn rate)-I noticed when slaying Steel dragons that Random Event's can teleport you out, which makes the NPC's aggressive again upon your return. This isn't ideal, so the dungeon will be somewhat random-free in the near future. That should help those of us who use more Turmoil than Soulsplit /Edit: I still can't get her mother's name out of her, sorry! By Mod Chris L on RSOF. muhahaha
To anyone using her ATM. Is the Jad task (25k slayer exp bonus) worth it? It seems like a toss-up assuming you can complete caves in around 2 hours, and totally not worth it if you get owned by Jad.
