r4ngewarlord Posted December 23, 2009 Share Posted December 23, 2009 As I went to the Grand Exchange today I saw an odd sight.A level 135 with a red partyhat and a construction cape was buying weeds of everybody.He asked me if I could go onto the grand exchange and buy 5k weeds for him, as 5k was the Grand exchanges limit.Like many other players around me I did and he payed the 100k I had spent on them.I asked him why and he replied that he was merchanting them. My question is why? He had at least 20k of them and weeds have barley any use in runescape other than to make compost and they come into the game fairly easily. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. Cantristenon Posted December 24, 2009 Share Posted December 24, 2009 Sounds pretty good way of creating junk for me :P Just think about it how easy it's to make its price to go even over 10 times bigger than original price (since it's so cheap in the beginning).Then again, no one really gathers weeds in mass amounts since there is no point doing so because they are so cheap. Everyone dealing with rares knows that junk does have a value. A few extremely wealthy people totally buy out an item to use it as junk for hundreds of millions. My friend told me about this, it happens a lot with seeds and stuff.
