BloodAngel
It was the "noughties" and apparently the next 10 years are going to be referred to as the "tweenies" or "teenies" "Unfortunately, the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale." Seraphi
The Decade of "What the hell do we call this decade". Why did people suddenly start wondering about this now? It's not like we had 10 years to think of a name is it? Oh wait.
Dizzle229
The last decade was the 2000's. No idea what this is going to be called, but I'm sure we'll be having this same discussion 10 years from now. Get back here so I can rub your butt. All_Is_Great
I was wondering the same thing, hahah. Twenty-ten's? Idk.
eksef
This decade doesn't end until the end of 2010. We still got a year to go buddy.
Giordano
Techically you should call it the 2000s, but that would be confused with the century 2000. Like the decade 1900s contrast to the century 1900. I really don't know what you call the first decade of the century... interesting question though. Distracted
Uhm, to above, the second millenium actually only started 2001. Same goes for decades, so yeah, technically speaking, we're still in the naughts. Forgot the exact explanation though.
Nadril
Yeah he's right, technically speaking. Still he knows what everyone is saying so it's just sort of a douchbag move to try and correct others. It will be odd not saying like "oh-nine" or "oh-seven". Just saying "ten' for the year is odd... I might have to just do oh-ten.

Distracted
I belive cracked gives a good opinion on the matter. But, i've noticed people use naughties on television. Its quite clever really because it can make these decades 'naughty' but I don't think it really deserves that title. The 1940's were naughty with all the jew killing. Damn it, I knew something was off with my naming it naughts, it's aughts lol. I got it from that topic, it was the one that sounded least [developmentally delayed]ed. BTW, Cracked owns. BTW, Cracked owns.Cracked owns wooo! I prefer naughties to aughties. for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that it just sounds right, aughties sounds unatural. The second reason is that it sounds like eightys and the third its not a play on words lol.I think someone should start a thread about cracked, so many people love it. I bet quite a few love it on this forum also. We should call it the bush years, lol. Its like the equivelant of saying."For 10 years the manic overlord ruled over america with an iron fist, destroying any country that had WMD's or oil" lol.Its just so.... comparing bush to skeletor. Meh, I'll just call it naughts/aughts, I don't like the -ies suffix either way, but naughts is just a bit easier to pronounce. Also, I don't think you're allowed to make a topic about Cracked since it's 1) a website 2) low discussion value.
