Lowalching is faster fishing xp/h as highalching.

I can reach 52K fishing xp/h, with lowalching, F2p, fishing lvl 92 at the time.

Why aren't you using urns? You could get over 60k per hour.

I'm not sure, but I usually look at the south-west corner.

Urns didn't exist at the time I did this test, I've never longterm tested powerfishing with urns.

I have trained with urns, but only short moments and I didn't check how much xp/h it was in totall.

I did find out you can max fill 10 urns at a time and then you need to remove them.

I think the real challenge lies within map usage, your gatestones and keeping your run energy intact all the time. I find that when guidemoding 5:1, you need to read map alot and make sure the map doesn't screw you over or anything (like monoliths or colored ferrets).

The 1-hit boss thing with a lvl 3 is really only useful for frozen maps. I find that guidemoding may be an effective way to do future dungs, as a set amount of rooms are always crit and it really brings out mapreading skills.

(In fact, due to p2p doors it may be more worth it to do guide mode larges in f2p...)

In other news, I opened up my friends chat for anyone wanting to do larges as 5 combats.

:^_^: I was going to post them here but you beat me to it. Maybe we should try 2cb 3sk with guide mode next time.

We also did smalls 5:1 after you left and only got 1:33 as best <_<

All right, I've officially re-opened my friends chat (it was used briefly in the early days of dg) to f2p dungeoneers of all sorts. We primarily focus on 5cb larges, finding new ways to do such things, like guidemoding and 5:1's.

We also tried taking in a leech with us, advertising our sub15 minute large average. The leech paid 250k/large. I'm starting to wonder if this is gonna be 3bo all over again...

Dungasm is officially recruiting! Join us at any time :)

(In case you didn't know, I got the basic formats from DGS.)

Any comments about the ranking system and just the guidelines in general?

I think the number one problem that we really need to find a solution for would be the xp rates. Because of this xp penalty thing, people are inclined to think 5cb dungs are way slower xp/h, when infact it is actually not that slow. This is especially considering the fact that 90% of my 5cb larges are under 15 minutes (around 11-12 minute average), and for a lot of people they average around 20 minutes doing 2cb3sk larges.

The main focus in the chat would only be fast floor times, really. It's pretty much established that the xp rate argument is not going to work...

I was bored and thought that I'll make some calculations that how much money iI need to get 99 in every skill.

So it might be useful for you too I guess. Everything is quite rough though and Dungeoneering doesn't cost any money.

Ranged - 5570k xp needed

Powerrange in lvl 50 spiders:

198000 mithril arrows at 24 gp each - 4,8m (assuming my average hit is 70)

3100 anchovy pizzas at 470 gp each - 1,5m (assuming I can make 50k xp per trip)

Prayer - 10048k xp needed

670000big bones at 340 each - 227,9m

Mining - 8086k xp needed

Powermining in hobmine with low alch and urns:

192500 nature runes at 115 each - 22,1m

4095 urns at 500 each - 2m

Runecrafting - 10318k xp needed

Making air tiaras with Varrock teleport:

412720 air talismans at 148 each - 61m

31750 law runes at 185 each - 5,8m

412720 tiaras at 20 each - 8,3m

Total amount - 333,4m coins

Lucky for me, I have managed to acquire enough wealth to cover all of that. But I don't have enough time or patience to do that quickly, probably will take about 2 years.

@mackenzie14

I have pretty much everything covered except prayer, mainly the cash required to buy enough bones. Interestingly enough, I think I am the only one buying enough essence to walk it all the way to RC 99 (with 3.8mil ess, don't think I need that many, but thought I keep some extra in case ess ever going back up again).

Overall, I think the only remaining obstacle is to find the time to play.

IMO it is always best to use adamant arrows for all ranged, especially when playing Fist of Guthix or ranging giants.

The extra DPS bonus is worth the slightly extra price. Remember, addy arrows used to be 300 gp each and look where they are now...

I tested both arrows at spiders.

Mithril - 38,8k

Addy - 45,4k

I didn't think that difference would be so big. Well, then will addy arrows be the right choice. Addy arrows are almost same speed as melee.

I assume that's without picking them up? What is the cost per hour difference between the two?

Hmmm, I used to use Bronze all the time and picking them up and somehow stumbled my way to lvl 99 range. I did used about 10k addy arrows just for kicks, but they were all from icy giants. I still remember the days where I spend 5 hours world hopping buying bronze arrows after the world reset, good times (oh yeah, manage to buy 25k bronze or something, but was so sleepy, kind of crazy went through all the world servers).

About 3.06x with current prices.

Edit: To Water

I did Ranged xp test with addy arrows. One full run with banking. Food was anchovy pizzas.

Xp per hour 37,2K. I have to admit that I wasn't paying full attention. Actually I was making food in the kitchen and then eating that also at the same time.

Banking time was about 3 minutes.

40k is definitely possible.

Sorry, I worded that poorly, so let's go with this;

How many arrows can you shoot per hour?
